“Yeah. Well…”

“And I’m curious about something.”

“About what?” I said.

“Did you sleep well after our phone call?”

I could feel myself blushing at his words. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I said quickly.

“You don’t. You don’t remember how the call ended?”

“I’m not really sure what you’re talking about, Travis.”

“You don’t remember us FaceTiming?”

I licked my lips. “Um, no. I must have been really, really tired because I forgot.”

“You don’t remember taking your top off?”

“Travis, I’m in the back of the limo.”

“And?”

“We should not be having this conversation.”

He started laughing then. “John’s not listening to our conversation. Don’t worry, Molly.”

“I’m not worried. I’m just saying.”

“What? I’m just trying to see if you have early-onset Alzheimer’s or if you really don’t remember the way you played yourself. The way you told me to speak a little bit dirtier.”

“I…” I bit down on my low lip. “Travis.”

“What? You don’t remember saying to me, ‘Say it again, say it again, Travis’?”

“I did not say that.”

“Really? You didn’t tell me to talk to you in a dirtier voice?”

I blushed. “I may or may not have said that, but I was just saying that to see if you would do it. I didn’t actually mean for you to do it.”

“You didn’t mean for me to tell you that if I was with you right then and there, I’d bend you over my desk and fuck you hard?”

I shivered slightly in the back seat. “That doesn’t sound like something I would say.”

He laughed then. “Well, maybe next time you ask me to do that, I won’t because if you don’t even remember, what’s the point?”

“I will never ask you to do that again. I mean, I don’t even think I asked you to do that the first time.”

He laughed. “Well, you should be at the office within a couple of minutes, and then I’ll join you in the back of the limo.”

“Wait, what? What do you mean?”

“We’re headed to the airport.”

“But I thought we were working. I’m confused.”

“No, we’re on our way to San Francisco.”
