“Good,” I beamed. “I would like to go running.”
“Excuse me, Miss?” he cleared his throat.
“Get changed, please,” I suggested playfully.
I truly did want to go running, but knew I was not allowed to go alone so my only option was making them go. After everyone was ready, we headed out of the building, stopping. I glanced around, remembering the last time I was here then rolled my eyes. My life had drastically changed.
I took my phone out of my pocket, pulling up my favorite fitness playlist. As I placed my wireless speakers in my ear, I found myself scrolling over to my messages. Nothing. Should I text him just to say hi? I thumbed over his name, sighing while deciding to check in.
Good morning Sir ;)
I slid my phone back in my pocket then my security detail and I went through the park. We ran, we jogged, and we walked four miles. It felt like it had been a while since I went running. The freedom I had felt great, so I decided to extend it for just today.
We stopped to take a breath when we were finished. Joseph passed me a water bottle. I thanked both of the bodyguards for being good sports and running with me. Neither of them seemed out of breath whatsoever, but I had been slacking in my routine lately.
We strode to the street, getting ready to cross. I looked down, noticing my shoe was untied. I watched my feet all the way across the crosswalk, being careful not to fall. When we got to the other side, I bumped into someone.
“Oh, I'm so sor--,” I began to apologize but my sentence fell short.
The man I bumped in to smiled. With the unforgettable Italian accent, he greeted me cheerfully, “Good morning to you!”

She blushed, “Good morning.”
Isabelle was utterly breathtaking. It was so refreshing to see her eyes once again. They were part of the reason I took such a liking to her when I saw her photo for the first time. Though she had no idea who I was, I had to admit that it was fun to see both sides of her.
“Sorry I wasn't watching where I was going,” I apologized, smiling.
Glancing down at my phone. It was then, I realized that I was in the middle of replying to her text when we ran into one another. I quickly slid my phone in my jacket pocket, but I pressedSendfirst, ensuring that she would get the text while speaking to me.
“How have you been?” I inquired, crossing my arms over my chest.
“You wouldn't believe me if I told you.”
“Try me.”
She shook her head, grinning widely, “Nah, I think I am going to have to back out of this one.”
I chuckled musingly, “Fair enough.”
I peered over her shoulder and saw her security guys looking like they just ran an entire marathon. They were disgruntled, glaring in our direction, knowing I could see they were miserable. Joseph was my Head of Security, but he hated running almost more than anything. To see him like this was quite humorous. I attempted to hold in my laughter, but it was no use.
I gestured to them, snickering, “It seems you have a fan club today.”
She did not bother to turn around. Instead she glanced at the ground then met my gaze. “Yeahhh.”
“That's part of the thing I wouldn't believe isn't it?”
She nodded, tucking her bottom lip between her teeth.
“Well, I should get to the office.”
“Yeah, that's okay,” she agreed, gesturing to her building, “I moved into a new apartment and my stuff will be here in a little while so I should get back up.”
“You moved in the same building?”
I was testing her now to see how much she would reveal.
