Rolling his eyes, he smirked, “Ha, remember that in a few minutes.”

“Oh yeah?” I muttered, straightening my tie once again in the reflection of the elevator door. “Who's here?” I questioned.

William turned to me, silently staring, the smirk still plastered on his face. “Her father,” he cautioned as his expression became serious, wiping away any leftover amusement.

Fuck!

I rested on the oversized black, leather ottoman in the middle of Valentino's closet, catching my breath as he left for a meeting. I was not sure what had come over me. But then I realized that I knew exactly what had come over me. It was him.

He was the most gallant and remarkable man I had ever laid eyes on. Just his presence alone, made me lose all sense of my reality and self-control. I felt so intoxicated around him, giving me little room to breathe. I was entranced in whatever spell he had placed on me. I stood, roaming toward his shirts. The closet smelled of jasmine, tobacco, and leather with a hint of sex. I almost had another orgasm as I took a deep breath, recalling the scent of a specific cologne on a nearby table.

I slipped on one of his formal, button-up shirts, before sprinting down the hall to the elevator. I waited impatiently tapping my foot. The minute the doors slid to the side, I wasted no time hopping in and taking it one floor up.

I ran down the hallway into my bedroom, swiftly closing the door behind me. Grabbing my bag, I pulled my phone out of the side pocket. I thumbed over Tanya's phone number, taking a deep breath. I wanted to call her. I needed her more than anything right now. I missed my best friend. I wanted to yell at her, but I also knew that there was more to this which led me to believe she might possibly have the answers I was searching for.

Trying to speak to her right now, would probably do more damage, so I was on the fence about my next move.I thought I might speak with Valentino first before I caused any possible drama. The internal battle continued as my need to call her became more prevalent. I was ready to hear what she had to say.

I marched through the threshold into my office, coming face to face with a room full of people. Six of my staff and bodyguards stood at the entrance and back door, all darting their eyes toward me in annoyance the moment they saw me. Five strangers stood spread throughout the room but blocking my view of a single person who was standing near the front of my desk. As the crowd parted, he turned to me with a menacing smile inching across his face. A young man who remained next to him, glared at me as though he wanted to kill me.

“Felipe!” I greeted Isabelle’s father by name as I shook his hand with a fake smile plastered on my face.

He bowed his head in acknowledgement, gripping my hand harder than the last time I saw him. I smirked at the fact the hand he just shook was all over his daughter a few minutes before. I had completely broken my agreement with him. Lurching around to the other side of my desk, I was about to sit down.

“Not here,” he abruptly interjected before I could take a seat.

“Where would you like to go?”

“You and I are going to go for little a drive to talk,” he grinned wryly, narrowing his eyes.

I wanted to roll my eyes, but I knew it would only start trouble. Felipe carried a dominant personality like myself, so I knew that this meeting would be anything but fun. Neither one of us were ever known to back down from a conflict. He was a drug lord, I was a businessman, with questionable underground practices.

Everyone in the room followed Felipe and I outside. The young guy who had been standing next to him followed us to the car, but Felipe held up his hand to stop just outside my front door.

“I got this, Xavier,” he displayed a cluster of keys, jiggling them in the air.

Xavier nodded, taking a step back while crossing his arms over his chest. He frowned in my direction. William quickly marched over, opening the passenger door for me. I pulled the seatbelt over my body as he leaned into the car next to my ear.

“I'll have you followed,” he whispered.

I shook my head, mumbling, “I got this, so don’t do anything stupid.”

The truth is, I would have to take my chances. Felipe had people spying all over the place and if one came across my guys following us, it would result in death for me, or possibly a blood bath for everyone.

Felipe played the same games I did with his enemies, so he could see anything out of the ordinary coming at any point. I was not about to cross Isabelle's father right now with her upstairs in my bedroom, possibly still naked. I had my gun in my waistband. That would have to do for now.

“Are you hungry?” he cheerfully inquired as he slid into, the driver’s side, starting the car.

This was not like him whatsoever, so I knew something was up. This had to be a trap of some sort. He was never one to ask anything. He usually only made demands which came with a price.

“I could eat, but I prefer to drink,” I half joked.

He chuckled menacingly then drove in silence to a nearby restaurant. The moment we entered through the front door we were greeted by a younger looking blonde waitress. She sashayed through the establishment, swaying her hips, trying to get our attention as she escorted us to a private booth in the bar area.

As she laid our menus on the table in front of us, she took extra care to press her pert breasts together as she leaned over. Felipe took an immediate liking to her. He could not help himself from flirting.

“How are you, beautiful young lady?”

She giggled, twisting her hips back and forth with an ink pen in between her teeth. “I’m great,” she grinned. “What can I get you handsome gentlemen?”
