I pivoted my body around rapidly, glaring into her eyes before I smiled and nodded.

The ride to the restaurant was interesting to say the least. The girls wanted to sit together in the back so all I could hear was them talking about Tanya and William's baby on the way. They were both equally excited. William and I spoke in Italian in the front about Felipe and the new plan. It would be a game-changer if we could pull it off. Our conversation tapered off when we pulled up in front of the building.

As we stepped out, the valet drove off with my car, leaving us standing with security who had followed us. Joseph nodded and walked ahead of us, leading the way into the restaurant. Isabelle glanced up at the sign before entering the building.

“Of course.” she smirked.

I took her hand in mine as we made our way through the front door.

“Greco's?” she questioned under her breath.

I nodded as the hostess approached us with a smile, interrupting any further conversation between us.

“Mr. Greco,” she greeted cheerfully, “we are so happy to have you and your guests dining with us this evening.”

We navigated our way through the dining room as she led us to my favorite table in the back; a nice, big, round table with a great view of the other diners and foyer area. I slid my chair closer to Isabelle. She smiled, resting her hand on my thigh under the table.

I searched around the room noticing that this place was extremely intimidating. It came as no surprise to me that he owned it. I giggled to myself as he got my attention by placing his hand on my thigh, squeezing rapidly several times. I turned my focus to him.

“Love, would you like something other than wine and water?”

“No thank you,” I declined politely. “That's more than okay with me.”

Tanya glanced up from her menu with only her eyes, watching us intently. I caught a glimpse of her. She smirked, winking at me. I knew she was so enthralled with the idea of Valentino and me. She was obvious as she watched us like she was proud that she had a part in us being happily together.

The server approached, taking our drink orders. Valentino ordered several bottles of wine, but I could not have pronounced the names if I tried. I knew they were a variation of both red and white. The server smiled and nodded at Valentino then disappeared.

William leaned forward, whispering across the table, “Val, why do you always have to be so fancy?”

I laughed and a snort escaped my nose. Gasping and blushing, I suddenly stopped, but the three of them snapped their heads toward me, catching my moment. Tanya covered her mouth, trying not to laugh, but failed as she snickered a bit.

Valentino leaned into my ear, murmuring, “I am going to fuck your brains out when we get home.”

My face suddenly became serious as I tucked my lips into my mouth, averting my gaze to my lap.

He turned his attention back to William, smiling, “Because Icanbe fancy.”

William nodded, smirking, “Always.”

The server returned with the wine. After Valentino did a fancy wine tasting and approved it for the table, we were served. She waltzed away to give us time to look over the menu. I studied it carefully as every entree description made me want to try that dish. It would be impossible to choose.

I felt Valentino squeeze my thigh again but this time extremely hard. He did not loosen his grip. I almost yelped in pain, but I remained silent. Instead I glared at him, realizing that he was glowering straight ahead, his eyes slightly narrowed toward the entrance.

I followed the trail of his vision across the restaurant. It was not until I peered around William that I noticed a remarkably familiar looking person. I froze.

Oh no! No! Not him!I began to repeat in my mind as I silently panicked.

William and Tanya both glanced up simultaneously, seeing Valentino and I both staring at the lobby of the restaurant. They both paused, wondering what was happening. Tanya waved her hand, trying to get our attention, but neither of us budged.

William turned his body as he spoke. “What are you looki--,” he began but froze. “Oh fuck.”

I loosened my grip on Isabelle's thigh, apologizing under my breath. She grabbed the top of my hand under the table, squeezing it hard. Tanya remained confused trying to ask Isabelle what was wrong.

In the lobby, he rested his hand on the back of a woman who stood next to him wearing a floor length, navy-blue dress. Her platinum blonde hair stopped just past her shoulders. I did not recognize her. Just then, he glanced up and we made eye contact. A sinister grin slowly crept onto his face as he stared at us.

Turning to the restaurant hostess, he whispered something in her ear, as he gestured in our direction. They began to walk our way, his eyes never leaving mine. The moment they were at our table, he pulled a chair out for his guest before sitting next to her, situating himself in an arrogant manner.
