Micah
It’s finally fucking time.I twist my fingers practically into knots while I wait for Devin to come out of her bedroom. I’ve been waiting years for her to come back to me. And I know I should feel bad about my feelings. Should maybe feel guilty.
But I don’t. Call me a bastard if you want but I’ve always been in love with Devin. But I would never have messed with her marriage. I knew she loved Chris.
But when he died, I felt torn. I wanted her but she was so grief-stricken. All I could do was be there for her. Hold her when she cried.
But it’s been six years. Six years of holding in my feelings and protecting her from what I needed.
“Hey, Micah! Can we order something to eat? I’m starved. And I’d rather just stay in and watch a movie like we usually do.”
“No,” I call, my voice stern and harsh. If we stay here alone I might do something that neither of us is quite ready for. I want to give her exactly what she wants but the temptation if we’re here alone will be too much. My cock surges in my jeans and I have to shift and grab the front of my pants, pushing against my straining member.
“Down boy,” I mutter under my breath.
“Did you say something?” Devin asks from the other room.
“No, baby. But I think we should go out tonight. I’ve heard about this movie that’s out right now. It’s supposed to be pretty good.”
She walks into the room, straightening her sweater, tugging it down over her soft belly.
She always wears bigger, loose clothing. Like she thinks that no one will be able to see through to the luscious curves she’s hiding. I can see every damn curve she’s rocking. Her soft, rounded belly and generously large breasts. Her body is perfect to me but I think she thinks that she’s too much.
“Why don’t you want to stay in?” She’s still not looking me in the face which might be good because I’m not sure I can hide the way my body’s reacting to her.
“I just want to see this movie. Come on, baby girl. Let’s go out and have some fun. Maybe we can go to the bar afterwards.”
Her eyes finally fly up to meet mine. “This means that much to you? It’s been a long time since I’ve been in a bar.”
“Yeah. Well, it will be nice to spend some time with you no matter where it’s at.” I walk over and wrap my arm around her neck, feeling her stiffen next to me and then her body softens, leaning into me.
“Okay. Let’s see this fantastic movie and then go to the bar. I suppose it might be nice to relax with a drink. Listen to some music.”
“Hey…that bar down on the corner has live music tonight. Maybe you want to dance with me?”
I grasp her hand and lead her to the door, holding her coat out for her to slip into. She slides it on and then flips her long, dark hair up. I can smell that sweet strawberry scent of her shampoo and my dick kicks behind my jeans again. I pull myself in check and back away from her.
“Let’s go, baby girl.”
I usher her out the door ahead of me, my hand on her back. Tingles shoot up my arm and into my chest.
We make the movie and I smile, watching her laugh her way through the funny romance. Her shoulders slide down and she moves until her head is lying on my shoulder. My breath shudders in my throat and I groan silently, fighting the urge to wrap my fingers in her soft, dark hair.
It’s like an exercise in torture having her here next to me, knowing what she told me earlier.
The lights go up and she stands, her body right in front of me, hips square in my face. My heart races and it takes everything in me not to grab her and pull her down to me, strip her out of those clothes and have her ride me to a wild release that I know is just bubbling underneath the surface.
As if she knows what I’m thinking, her pale skin flushes and her dark eyes dart away from mine.
Shifting uneasily, I let her move away and then stand, pulling my coat closed on the uncomfortable bulge that would give away my thoughts in seconds.
“Ready to go to the bar? I figure we can get something to eat there.”
