She thought he was overthinking the possible danger. But she didn’t say it aloud, yet. She wanted to get out of the cabin suite first and be where the feeling of intimacy didn’t confuse and intimidate her.

They had breakfast earlier that morning. Since she didn’t have a proper dinner the previous night, and had a mild hangover, she had insisted on ordering breakfast to the suite.

Their assigned butlers had brought in the food trolley and served in the living room balcony. It was only when Aarav and she sat together at the small outdoor dining set, she realized that she was in her bathrobe and he was wearing just his shorts. She realized how truly intimate the setting was, especially with the flowers and the table set for a romantic meal.

She vowed never to order food into the suite again.

“I want to go to the regular cruise restaurants for meals,” she said.

“Why? You can order whatever you want at a private access restaurant.”

“No! I want to experience the cruise buffet.” She didn’t want to keep hiding and miss out on the true cruise experience.

“Okay, we can go for an early breakfast buffet sometime.”

She knew he wanted to go early because most people woke up late during their vacation.

“You are being paranoid. I’m sure Dr. Pathak is going to tell me soon that the lab break-in was a random robbery.”

He didn’t say anything.

They walked along the empty corridor and took the lift to the floor where some of the swimming pools and spa areas were located.

Not surprisingly, the place was loud. There were four large pools, all of them with water slides that were used mostly by families with children. She smiled listening to the excited shouts.

“Our pool is on the other side,” he stated.

She frowned but nodded and followed behind him. They went to the pool that was located away from the regular pools and required special access. There were at least a dozen people seated at the pool, but compared to the hundreds in the regular pool, it was relatively private.

She sat at one of the available lounge chairs. Aarav took the one right next to her. Her cheeks heated when he shrugged out his shirt and sat back with his sunglasses on. She tried hard not to stare at the tanned muscles on his chest.

Stop staring at him!

With her cheeks heating, she dragged her eyes away. She was about to reach for her tote to pull out a towel when she heard a man shouting.

“You idiot! You ruined my Burberry shirt! How could you be so clumsy! The drink even spilled on my Hermes sandals!”

She turned to see a couple seated next to her. A waiter was holding a tray with an empty cocktail glass, which must have spilled on the man.

“I-I thought there was large green bug on your shirt, sir,” the waiter said looking shaken.

“It wasn’t a real bug, you fool! It is a crystal encrusted ladybug Gucci brooch! Do you know how much my shirt, sandals and the brooch cost? Way more than your salary!”

“I-I’ll have the shirt dry cleaned, sir.”

“You won’t get away with just dry cleaning! I’m going to sue and make sure the cruise line pays much more for my shirt. They need to be punished for putting a clumsy ass like you in the VIP section area.”

“Sohel, darling,” the woman next to the man said. “We can settle the matter later. People are watching us.”

The man looked irritated but he settled down. “Get out from here and ask someone to send a female server to attend to me.”

The waiter hurried away. Still looking shaken, the waiter came towards Sitara.

“W-would you like a drink, madam?” he asked.

Sitara smiled reassuringly at him, trying to ease his discomfort. “I would like a sweet and salty lime soda.”

“S-sure, madam.” He looked to her side. “A-and you, sir?”
