Sitara had to take a private jet and go to another city to the headquarters of the airline companySkybird.

It was a huge glass building with a familiar logo she had seen on the helicopter and also the private jet she had just taken. Preeti had booked her the flight. Although she didn’t get a chance to speak to Preeti properly, she promised to tell her friend everything in a few days.

The news of Dr. Pathak’s arrest hasn’t been let out yet. She was grateful that she would have time to prepare her employees and colleagues for the shocking news.

But first, she needed to settle the most important thing in her life—woo her pissed off husband.

“Good evening, madam. Welcome to Skybird. How may we assist you?”

“I’m Dr. Narayan. I’m here to file a complaint about a shocking experience with one of your pilots.”

The woman didn’t argue. “I’m sorry for your experience, madam. I will direct our customer experience team to take your complaint and they will let the concerned pilot’s supervisor know.”

Sitara shook her head. “No. I would like to speak to the owners of the company and give the complaint in person.”

The woman frowned slightly, but once again didn’t argue. “Sure, madam. Let me check if any of our company heads are available to talk right now.” The woman called someone to check availability.

“Please go to the top floor, madam. My colleague Mr. Prakash Kumar will receive you there and direct you to our company heads.”

“Thanks.”

She took the lift to the top floor. The glass lift with a view reminded her of the cruise ship. But instead of the ocean, she could see the city view.

The lift stopped on the topmost floor. When she stepped out, she was received by a man wearing a suit. “Good evening, Dr. Narayan. I’m Prakash Kumar. Please come.”

She followed the man through a plush carpeted corridor to a corner office wing with a polished dark wooden double door. Amid the glass structures on the lower floors, this area stood out.

The man knocked on the door before holding it open for her.

“Please go in,” he said.

She stepped inside a large room that looked like a cross between a gentlemen’s club and an office. There was a full bar area to a corner, a large television set and dark brown leather sofas and chairs with a wooden carved coffee table that held a crystal ashtray and a single whiskey glass with a half empty bottle. There were three men inside the room. Two of them who were seated on chairs got up when they saw her.

“Good evening, Dr. Narayan,” one of them greeted. “I’m Rohan Shetty and this is Veer Pratap. We are the company heads to Skybird. Please be seated.”

Sitara took the empty leather chair opposite to the man who remained seated on a sofa.

“I believe you wanted to file a personal complaint?” Veer Pratap asked.

Sitara deliberately kept her eyes away from the man seated on the sofa. “Yes,” she replied. “I wanted to file a complaint about an unruly pilot.”

“What is the pilot’s name, Dr. Narayan?” Rohan Shetty asked politely.

Finally, she threw a brief look at the man seated on the sofa, who was watching her with a heated glare in his slightly bloodshot eyes. Ignoring the flutter in her stomach, she looked at the two men.

There was visible amusement in the men’s eyes. Sitara was sure the two men knew who she was and what had happened.

“The pilot’s name is Aarav Rathod. He was bossy, arrogant and entirely rude.”

“That’s very unfortunate,” Rohan Shetty said. “Why don’t you give the details to our partner. He will settle the matter with you personally.”

“Thank you. It’s very nice meeting you two,” she said.

Aarav had often spoken about his two friends, Veer and Rohan in the past. She didn’t get to meet them at that time since his friends lived in different cities. But now that she got the opportunity, she didn’t think it would be under such dramatic circumstances.

“It’s our pleasure, Dr. Narayan.”

“Please call me Sitara,” she said.
