Page 60 of Kissed By Her

“That’s bullshit,” I said, and decided to take matters into my own hands.

I didn’t kiss her with quite as much force as the first time, but still, she took my breath away. I had to dig my fingers into her waist because I needed something to hold onto.

She hesitated for a fraction of a second and then surrendered and kissed me fully.

There she is, I thought.

Those timid kisses had irritated me because Honor wasn’t timid about anything, ever. Honor was fierce and she went after what she wanted. It was an insult to kiss me with such little effort. I deserved more.

Despite me being the one to start this kiss, Honor quickly took control and then her tongue was invading my mouth and caressing mine and she was reaching and searching and demanding more from me.

She could have it. She could have it all.

It was the easiest thing in the world for me to completely surrender to her.

Honor suckled on my bottom lip and then slowly dragged it through her teeth and I let out a whimper in response that made her smile against my mouth before biting my lip again and then pulling back.

“There you go, completely fucking up my plan,” she said, huffing out a laugh.

I let her go and she eased back, sitting with her feet directly under her.

Honor had a satisfied smile on her face.

“Well, you don’t have to look so smug,” I said.

“There’s a difference between smug and satisfied,” she said.

“What’s the difference?” I asked.

“Does it matter?”

I shrugged. I couldn’t really even follow this conversation. I was still dizzy from the kiss.

“I’m still confused,” I admitted. “Are you not going after Mark anymore? Because I think the twins would be really happy to hear that.”

Honor moved further away from me on the couch and I had to stop myself from grabbing her to pull her back.

I shouldn’t have said anything, but I needed to know before any of this went further.

“Fuck, Layne. Do we have to do this now?” Honor rubbed her forehead as if she was rubbing away a potential headache.

“I’m not going to make out with you if you’re still trying to marry my boss. I have standards.”

Honor glared at me, but I held my ground.

“Fine, I’m not going to try to marry Mark. Happy?”

I held out my hand, my pinky stuck out straight. Honor looked at my pinky like she’d never seen one before.

“You gotta promise,” I said. “I make the twins do this all the time. And Liam.”

“You’re making me promise like a child,” she said.

“No, I’m making you promise like I make people in my life promise things. You want to be in my life, get used to it.”

Honor sat there for a second, but then she lifted her hand and linked her pinky with mine. I locked mine around hers and wouldn’t let her go right away.

“There’s a second step. Now you kiss your thumb,” I said, showing her how to do it.
