It had takena lot of help from Cartier, Angel, and an event planner, but Saint was able to execute all the plans he had for Harmony for her thirty-third birthday. He wanted to go all out for her, not just because this birthday was so important to her, but because it was the first one they were sharing together. As much as he wanted to sleep with her, they spent the night apart so he’d be able to get everything ready for her at his home. When he did pick her up, they stopped and grabbed breakfast first.

She didn’t know where they were going, so she’d dressed in a Balenciaga sweatsuit that he’d gotten her shortly after they came back from Las Vegas. For her birthday, Harmony had gotten tape in extensions installed, and though they were currently pulled up and out of the way. Saint was going to have to remind himself not to pull them too hard when he buried himself in her pussy for some birthday sex later.

As he opened the door of his home, Saint released a nervous, shaky breath. This was the first time he’d ever put so much thought behind celebrating a woman’s birthday, and he was nervous as shit. Romance had never really been Saint’s thing, but he’d been pulling out all the stops lately for Harmony. Her appreciation and reciprocity always made it worth it. It didn’t matter how many dates he took her on or what he did for her, Harmony always returned the gesture in some kind of way. For the first time, Saint was in a partnership with a woman that gave just as much as he did.

Even when he was with Whitney, the bond was mental and physical. The only time emotions were involved was when they were at odds. Very rarely did they go out because of his schedule. Saint didn’t realize it then, but as much as he cared about Whitney, he didn’t feel the need to prioritize what they had. It could have been because he was legally still attached to Tristan. Either way, things were as different as night and day for him and Harmony, and Saint wanted her birthday to be as special as possible.

“Baby, are you up to something?” Harmony asked sweetly, looking up at him instead of walking inside.

“Yes,” he admitted, not bothering to lie.

Harmony chuckled. “What is it? I don’t like surprises.”

“I know you don’t because you like to be in control, but you’ll love everything I have planned today. Trust me.”

“Okay,” she agreed just above a whisper before stepping inside.

“Go to the room we’re turning into your writing space,” Saint directed, pulling his phone out so he could record her reaction to what he’d done.

Though her steps were small and hesitant, Harmony smiled as she headed that way. When she opened the door and saw the thirty-three bouquets of red roses, she gasped.

“Babe,” she whined, looking back at him with watery eyes.

“Go in.”

She did, covering her mouth as she looked up at the balloons that covered the ceiling. On the walls, Saint had thirty-three pictures of them and underneath each one, he listed one thing he loved about her. Harmony took her time reading every one, and by the time she was done, her tears had started to fall.

Wrapping her arms around him, Harmony placed a kiss to his neck, then his cheek. “This is beautiful, Saint. Thank you so much! I’ve never had a more thoughtful gift in my life. You’re the best.”

“There’s more.”

“I don’t think I can take anymore.”

Pride swelled his heart as he smiled, and Saint loved how much he’d been doing that lately.

“You will. Come.”

Saint led her out of the room and into his bedroom. On the bed, there were two large gift bags filled with cash, both totaling thirty-three hundred thousand dollars. Being the cry baby that she was, Harmony found herself in his arms, on his chest, unable to open the final gift until she’d released all her tears. Her nose, lips, and eyes were red as she sniffled and accepted the envelope Saint handed her. As she scanned the contents, she released a low, “Hmm.”

“This is a schedule,” she announced, looking over the details carefully. “Saint…”

“We’re going to thirty-three places for the next thirty-three months, one destination a month. Of course we can travel more than that, but these are places I picked specifically for your birthday.”

As she wiped her face, Harmony weakly sat on the couch in front of his bed.

“Come sit down,” she requested quietly, patting the space next to her. When Saint sat next to her, Harmony took his hand into hers and laid her head on his chest. “You’ve been… so thoughtful and considerate toward me. During such a trying time in your life, you’ve been careful with the way you handle me… the way you communicate and care for me. I don’t know how long this is going to last, but I want you to know that I respect you, I appreciate you, and I am so grateful to have you. You increase my happiness in a way that’s so good it’s been scary these last few days. TJ helped me realize how blessed I am to have you, and I pray I give you even just half of what you’ve given me.”

“I’m honored to be in your life, and you give me just as much as I give you. I wanted to make today as special as I could because of how special you are to me. You deserve the world, bae. I’m just grateful to have space in yours.”

Harmony made her way onto his lap and straddled him.

“Saint?” she muttered against his lips.

“Hmm?” was his response as he gripped her waist.

She shook her head, deciding against her words. That was okay, because when Harmony connected her lips with his, it led to her showing him exactly how she felt with her body.
