Where He will make you happy.

Where He will make you complete.

And I hope that you will vow to die with me here.

I promise you this casket has enough room for the both of us.

Can’t you hear your exes grieving?

Let them cry.

I have no roses for them, because they turned their back on your thorns, but I’ll use them.

You are…

Enough for me.

So come.

Come and watch me turn this casket into our home.”

Saint cleared his throat and set the phone next to him on the couch. “I guess it’s more of a poem than a rap, but with the right acoustic blen—”

Harmony tilted his head and connected his lips with hers. She sniffled as her tears fell.

“It sounded like wedding vows too.”

Saint’s mouth twisted to the side as he considered her words. “I believe you’re right. It did sound like my vows to you.” Harmony rested her forehead on his. “We’re not going to rush there, but you know I’m going to marry you soon, right, bae?”

Harmony tugged her bottom lip between her teeth as more tears threatened to pour.

“I do. And… that was beautiful,” she whispered before kissing him again.

“You’re beautiful,” he pulled away to say.

“I love you, Saint.”

He smiled, reminding her of their first kiss.

“Stop smiling and kiss me,” she commanded, making him laugh.

Saint muttered the same words she’d said to him back in December. “I’m tryin’, but I’m happy and you caught me off guard.”

Lips locked, eyes connected, Harmony decided, “Then I guess I’ll have to work around it to get my kiss.”

“Mm,” Saint moaned, repositioning her so that she was straddling his lap completely. “I guess so,” he agreed before sucking her bottom lip into his mouth.

Harmony sighed against him as her heartbeat slowed down. For the first time, she was with a man that always felt calm and safe—stable and secure. Sure and consistent. Committed and at peace—inHarmony.

The End
