“To you three fucks?” she questioned with a cock of her head. “No thanks.”

I gripped her hips harder. She hissed, gritting her perfect teeth. I hated being the bad guy, but better me than Isaac or worse, Phantom.

“You’re making a mistake.”

She stopped dancing then, glaring deeply into my eyes. “No.You’remaking a mistake by thinking you can control me.”

“News flash, sweetheart, we rule here. We control everything and everyone.”

“Not me you don’t.”

I smiled, loving the defiant spunk flashing in her blue eyes. “You’re beautiful when you’re angry. Has anyone ever told you that?”

She really was. Samara was the most beautiful creature I’d ever laid eyes on, aside from that one woman from the Gentlemen’s Club. My hands couldn’t help but reach up to try and touch her face, my lips craving for just the tiniest taste of hers.

She flinched back, slapping my hand away right when I was about to grasp her nape.

“And you’re a pig, just like your friends.”

“I’m trying to be nice here. Seriously though, take my advice. If you leave, nothing and nobody will harm you. But if you stay, you’ll regret it.”

To my surprise, she inched closer to me, her sexy mouth pausing right by my ear. Her hot breath raked against my neck, making my dick thicken beneath my jeans.

“Bring it on, big boy.”

My breath shuddered, her words evoking a chill down my spine.

“Rhett,” an angry voice boomed at me. Amid the interruption Samara had stormed away from me, a satisfied grin on her face.

I turned to find Phantom standing behind me, his face pinched, his eyes a narrowed glare. “It’s time. Isaac is waiting for us down at the dock.”

I got myself together and followed in tow behind my brother, surprised he’d yet to start bitching me out like he and Isaac did the other day over that bullshit incident with Samara in the dining hall. It was true that we’re kings here. Anyone who dared made the mistake of crossing us would face severe punishment for their actions. It was a known fact. Me, however, unlike my brothers, I carried a lot more compassion when it came to certain situations. That shit with Samara, I’d seen it with my own eyes the instant it went down. It was an honest accident.

Accident or not though, my brothers didn’t care. Phantom wanted to ruin her. Isaac just wanted to fuck her. And me? Well, at this point, I was just along for the ride. Figured it wouldn’t hurt to at least warn her of what was to come if she stuck around.

We entered the woods opposite from the party and trekked further on until we reached another opening down by the lake. Isaac was in deep conversation with Griffin.

“Hey cuz,” I greeted him, hugging him tight. Griffin was our cousin from our father’s side of the family. We met with him every Saturday night to pick up our weekly drug shipment. “You got the goods?”

“You know it.”

He reached down to the motorboat and hauled out two large duffels, handing them over. “Well, fellas, this is the last of it.”

“What?” spoke Isaac, his voice dark. “The fuck you mean this is the last of it?”

“Wait…” Griffin paused, confusion marring his face as his eyes pinged between the three of us. “You mean Unc didn’t tell you?”

“Tell us what?” asked Phantom.

“That meeting Unc had with the Reyez clan; Sinclair and all Unc's other business partners ditched him. They joined forces with Damien and kicked Unc to the curb.”

“You’ve got to be kidding me,’ Phantom growled. “Why? What the fuck happened?”

“All I know is that Damien has established a new business, one that your father wants no part in.”

“What kinda business?”

“Women. He’s trafficking women. His own dancers to be exact. Damien wanted Unc to get in the game but he refused. As of now, this is the last of the drugs Sinclair and the others are willing to provide. Damien took all of Unc’s partners, Sinclair, Alesi, and Crane included.”
