Griffyn grabs his arm, turning it slightly before jerking it hard to the right. I hear a small pop, but there’s no reaction from Blaze.

“Yes, we did. He’s out cold,” I answer. “How long does he need?”

Griffyn assesses the situation, looking Blaze over from top to bottom. “Hopefully, only a few minutes. We need to get out of here.”

“We are trying to get to you,” Felix tells us. He sounds worried and angry.

Finally, Blaze’s eyes twitch slightly, and he lets out a low groan.

“Thank fuck!” Griffyn shouts.

I look around the room, watching for Felix or Aksel. Once we have them, we can carry Blaze out of here and get him help. Even if he does have shifter healing, I want him better now.

That’s when I see him.

Eighteen

Felix

Listening to my mate beg another man to fuck her shouldn’t be arousing. Don’t get me wrong, I want it to be me. I want to take Griffyn’s place and make him deal with the mission.

But I don’t want to kill him. Instead, it’s making me harder than a rock.

I can’t help but notice the bulge straining Aksel’s pants as well, but he doesn’t comment on it.

I respect the hell out of Griffyn for turning her down while his pheromones were taking over. I wouldn’t mind sharing a mate with Griffyn. An idea forms in my head. Maybe I can help nudge them together. Anna might never meet her other fated mates, and Griff would be an excellent Chosen.

We are working our way through the warehouse, past fighting groups, and trying to avoid getting involved. My snow leopard is pushing against my skin, dying to join the fray.

It’s taking every ounce of self-control I have to stop myself and keep my skin.

Finally, we track down the original perpetrator. The closer we get, the worse the fighting is. He’s clearly at the center of what’s going on.

It’s making me want to rip heads off bodies. My snow leopard is pushing at my skin, adamant about coming out.

I recognize the middle-aged man with white hair and tan skin, who is purposely running into everyone he can.

We push through everyone to get to him.

I grab him, snarling in his face with my deadly teeth on full display. They immediately lengthen when I make contact with him.

“What are you doing to them?” Aksel asks.

He gulps when he realizes the two of us are about to beat him to a bloody pulp. “I-I-don’t know.”

I can smell the lie wafting off him. It’s obvious I’m a shifter. What is he playing at?

“Don’t fucking lie to us. You reek of magic. Why are you turning this place into a pit?” My voice is barely human. My snow leopard is begging to rip this idiot to shreds.

“Someone paid me a thousand dollars to cast this spell and walk through the warehouse,” He confesses.

Who would do that? There’s one obvious answer.

“Ryan,” Aksel growls.

“What did he look like?” I ask.

“Slicked back blond hair, taller than me, and muscular too.”
