How am I supposed to greet a man whose cock I sucked hours ago?

"Hi back."

Unlike me, Rhys is not uncomfortable at all around me.

He tilts his chin to the pan. "You're cooking?"

I nod. "I'm hungry, and Camden's working. I hope that's okay?"

"Of course, that's okay. But his dad's chef prepares stuff that we just need to heat up if you don't want to bother."

"So that's made by a chef!" As the packaging is exactly the same as the stuff in my fridge, I'm guessing Camden has his chef cook extra for me. "No wonder it's so good. I was wondering where you rich people got your meal plans."

I keep cooking, suspecting the beef's likely to go in the trash by next week if no one takes pity on it. They really ought to buy less food.

"Smells good. What are you making?" Rhys asks, retrieving a can of beer from the fridge.

"Beef stroganoff." It's a simple dish in my repertoire, though I don't think I've ever had the opportunity to make it without skipping some ingredients. "There'll be enough for you if you want some."

He shoots me a rare smile. "You don't have to try so hard, you know. Camden'll like you either way."

I grimace. "I'm hungry. I don't want to mess with your meal plan."

"So you're not cooking something I can't spell in order to show Cam what a good little housewife you'd make?"

I glare at him. "Not even a little bit. I know what Camden is after, and I know this is temporary. I'm not trying to prove anything."

He grins like he's just thought of a joke he isn't going to share. "Right. Temporary."Rhys sniggers as heheadsback outside. "Don't worry about me, Morgan. I'll eat some leftovers later if there are some. You and your man can have a nice romantic dinner."

Yeah, right.

I make a point of eating in the kitchen at the breakfast bar, and I don't offer Camden a portion, though I would have, if Rhys hadn't gotten into my head.

He's wrong. I know where I stand with Camden, and I'm aware that no amount of home-cooked meals will change the fact that I'm just a toy he bought.

ChapterSixty-Two

I might have felt awkward about speaking to him without reason out of the blue, but Camden makes it easy for me.

On Monday morning, I walk straight to him, ignoring his entourage as I lift the object in my hand right under his nose.

"What the hell is this, Camden?" I seethe.

He shrugs. "Looks like a credit card."

Not just any credit card. The shiny black plastic rectangle that arrived in the mail has a limit of fifty fucking thousand dollars.

"Why the hell do I have one of your credit cards?"

He shrugs. "I figured you'd have some shit to buy. It took a while to get here. How did you manage last week?"

"With my money," I retort, rolling my eyes. "Seriously, you can't go around giving people credit cards."

Camden rolls his eyes back at me. "Looks like I just did. Now, sit down before Professor Lake gets in. I hear he can be a hardass when students push him."

I remain where I stand, hands on my hips, eyes narrowed.

Camden chuckles, takes my hand, and tugs me forward until I all but fall on his seat. Without a word, everyone on the row moves to accommodate my arrival, leaving one seat free on his side. Even Kim, who shoots me a glare while she does it.
