"Even I knew it," Willow chimes in, like the traitor she is.

Dimitri nods. "Not wearing a crown doesn’t make you any less a princess.”

"Apparently Rhys isn't the only one into fancy prose," my sister is quick to point out.

The way Dimitri's blue eyes flash at her would have made me shiver, but she's apparently made of stronger stuff. She just sticks her tongue out at his impressive scowl.

I laugh again.I don't even care about the pain.

It's good to be home.

Epilogue

"Willow!" I call from downstairs. "We're going to be late!"

With two sisters, there's, by law, one who's always late. Spoiler: that's not me.

She rushes down the stairs, her phone in hand. "Sorry! Video call with Martin."

I grin. That's one excuse I can't be mad at.

Martin is our little brother—the reason my mother incessantlytried to call me during the first few months of her incarceration. I'd already raised one of her kids. No doubt she wanted to drop this one on my doorstep.

I remember the panic when social services called to let me know my little brother was born. As his closest adult relative—not in prison, that is—I was the first choice to take care of him.

Only, I really, really didn't want to. Harsh, but I was nineteen, finally free of responsibility, enjoying my new boyfriend.

I panicked for all of two minutes, before remembering that I didn't need to. I had a problem. I went to the man who could fix it.The next day, little Martin was on his way to the Crawfords. It's Willow's turn to look after a sibling, now. Mercifully, she'll get to only be a sister, while responsible adults take care of his needs.

Willow's attending a fancy boarding school upstate anyway, so she doesn't babysit too much.

"How's the little terror?"

Martin's almost two now.

"Biting his nanny. She quit."

I snort. He's definitely a handful.

"You look amazing!" Willow gushes.

I'm wearing a red crop top and a long skirt falling to my feet. My midriff is exposed, showing my scars.

The letters C and A cut by my kidnapper scarred well, only leaving a faint line, but I had them traced by a tattoo artist, who also added anMafterwards. There are vines and flowers running along the jagged letters.

Camden has a similar design on his back, bigger, with thorns instead of flowers, and featuring my full name rather than just three letters.

"So I should." I wink. "It's mybachelorette party."

We're in the Caribbean, at one of Adrian's properties. I wasn't fussy over the details of the wedding, letting Camden set everything up. Now, I'm definitely sold on the island getaway. We should come here for our vacations sometimes.

The doorbell rings, and I open it to find Erica, wearing a sash that says “Maid of Honor.”"Hey!" She hugs me like she hasn't seen me in years, though we had lunch together only hours ago. When she pulls back, I see she's secured a ridiculous pink sash around me too.

"Oh, no."

"Oh, yes," she crows. "Come on, let's get to the limo. You won'tbelievethe surprise Camden pulled."

"Are grooms supposed to get involved in bachelorette parties?" I question.
