Longing to bring them to my lips and inhale her all over again, “Maybe you could pack a few things…” I remark, possessed by the power of her fear, her helplessness.

I can see now why some guys do it. Bad things, I mean. To women. It sure is a filthy rush, but I’ll say it again. I don't want to hurt Violet, I just want her to understand how things are gonna be from now on.

They just have to be.

I mean, she already has someone else courting her in their own special way. I don't have time to waste, letting her out of my sight for a minute could mean disaster.

“I think you’d better leave, Professor Valentine.” Violet snaps suddenly, rubbing her wrist before snatching her panties back from my finger. Recovering from her shock and mustering most of the spirit and spunk I know she has deep inside.

Looking up at me, her nostrils flare as she stands defiantly. The very picture of true grit in a young woman. A woman I know from her file to have no relatives, and as her Professor, I know she has no real friends either.

I have been keeping a good eye on her after all, so there’s not much I don't know about my little Violet. But this new player. This… dog, sniffing around what is clearly my territory. That’s just making it all the more exciting for me in a way.

I switch on my charm again. Reasoning aloud in my best clinical tone, “I think we’ve both had a bit of a shock, Violet…” I explain, shrugging and wincing a little before I hand her phone back with a sigh.

“I’m sorry I grabbed you just now… I guess I just don’t know my own strength…”

It sounds more like a reminder than an apology, but Violet’s expression doesn't shift. “Thanks for walking me home, Professor… I think I can look after myself from here,” She clips, making me frown instantly. Her words like a blade over my heart. Her eyes shining with a coldness I’ve only ever seen staring back at me from my own mirror.

“My door bolts from the inside, and I have my phone… So…” She trails off, looking from me to the open doorway. Suddenly not so keen to be close to me because I grabbed her.

If she does as she's told, then there’s no issues… I just need a way to re-frame things for her. Show her that being with me is the only way for both of us.

I haven't slept properly for weeks, and this thing with someone else stalking her apart from me is gonna take its toll on her grades if she's not careful.

But no. I’ve made up my mind. Violet's place is with me now. Any doubts I might have had are as shattered as that front door frame.

No more games. I’m not gonna waste another minute stalking her myself when I could just claim her proper.

Opening my mouth to tell her as much, a different voice fills the room before I can say a word. Forcing my eyes to narrow on a short, stout elderly man scratching his large balding scalp as he appears.

He may as well have ‘building super’ tattooed on his head, the toilet plunger he's still carrying. The lines in his features so deep from years of constant annoyance and irritation, and with toothless gums he has the permanent expression of a grumpy gnome with a giant asshole for a mouth.

“What in god’s name happened here!?” He exclaims. I move forward, taking control of the situation. Needing to get Violet out of here for one, but also making sure I can still use her apartment to trap whoever else is following her.

But first things first.

I announce myself, “Professor Valentine,” I’m sure to let the super know. “Violet is my student and as a senior faculty member, our student's safety is paramount…” I start to lecture him. Sensing his own defiance rising up once a man my size starts to loom over him.

“I’m calling the police-” He starts to bark, but I can bark louder. And piss longer and further.

“Already done.” I lie, shooting Violet a stern look with an imperceptible shake of my head.

She needs to learn to trust my judgment. Starting from today. Right now.

Reaching for my wallet, I shift myself to block Violet’s view, murmuring my terms to the super.

“This is for the door damage… And this is for keeping your mouth shut. Understand?” I instruct him in a low murmur, “The college doesn't need a story like this and I'm sure your apartment building doesn’t either.” I remark, letting his eyes follow mine as I scan the walls then the ceiling, dotted with black mold and a dozen other building violations at every join in the place.

Teasing him with the billfold, I let him know some other fun facts, “…And if you don't do as I ask, you'll have me kicking doors in when I pay you a little visit… Capeesh?” I ask, feeling the wry smile of the freedom I'm feeling today.

I always get my own way, but until Violet came along I had no idea just how far that could go. Having her is worth more than anything to me. I know she belongs to me now.

Like this was all somehow destiny.

He growls low to himself, snatching the bills and stuffing them in his pocket before turning on his heel.

I grip his bony arm strong enough to et him know I could snap it as I add to my list of demands.
