I railed against him even more, “Just because you don't have your little comforts of home, you think you can transform my property, my buildings, my lodge anyway you damn well wish?!”

I knew I had to look like a mad woman. The two workmen were packing up and keeping their heads down.

I wasn’t done. “I bet when you didn't get your designer sneakers for Christmas one year, you raised a tantrum with Mommy and Daddy! I bet when you didn't like what Mommy cooked for dinner you threw it on the floor and ordered your executive chef to feed you!”

At this point Trev had tears popping out of his eyes. “Listen, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Sorry.”

Trev waved the lead guy over and whispered to him to wrap it up and leave.

I saw the tears in his eyes.Of course, I probably hit a nerve. I. Don’t. Care. He hit more than one of my nerves, too.

“And so now you're crying over spilled milk. You're crying because you can't get what you want? You are a spoiled brat and an arrogant moron! The world does not revolve around you. Didn't anyone ever explain the concept of private property to you? I don't know why I let you even stay here!”

I let out a howl, threw up my hands, and turned on my heel.

God, and all this before coffee and a shower!

Chapter 7

Trev

Iwassomewherebetweenhalf awake and half asleep when the men Eric had ordered for me arrived bright and early this morning. I felt a surge of hope that my creativity would soon return.

I had been deciding what part of the room I would make my workspace in when I heard her pounding on the door the first time. Then, after the internet installation team got chased away, I returned to my room, knowing that if I was downstairs, I would run into her.

Again?! Now what other infraction have I committed?

I rushed to open it without asking who was there.

Lindsey stood there, stilllooking pissed, and I wondered what was eating at her. She said something, but it was inaudible. I was focused on her face anyway, not her words. She looked beautiful. I remember her earlier in her pajamas, and her hair every which way. Reminisced about her body without clothing on our night together.

That’s one hot woman!

"Are you going to hide or give me a damn answer?!" she yelled at me, bringing me back to reality.

"What …?" I asked. I had not heard her question at all.

Me being clueless did nothing but anger her even more. As she raised her hands and choked the air, she looked cute. Her small angry frame didn't make her even a tiny bit intimidating.

"How dare you do construction here without having even a little, tiny, ‘Oh, by the way, I want to be the top manager of your family business?’ What game are you playing?" She said it loudly, and I found it irritating.

"You don't have to scream, I'm not deaf." I cautioned her.

I almost regretted saying those words when I saw her face scrunch up in more anger.

You are making matters worse. Shut the hell up, man!

"I can yell at you all I want. You were ruining my lodge. You can't make such an installation for just your room. Not for ANY room! Either you do it in every room or you don’t do it at all—and since I can’t afford every room—no internet, Mr. Adams!" She screamed this last bit.

I was getting infuriated by her tone; I couldn't remember the last time anyone had raised their voice at me. But as much as it pissed me off, I still found her sexy as sin. She had let her anger take control of her.

She hadn’t gotten dressed yet but was no longer holding the robe over her jammies. Her perky breasts and erect nipples pushed through. I wanted to cup them.

I mentally shook myself back to the issue at hand.

Grab this opportunity, man! NOW!

“So, Miss Lindsey, I was going to install internet for this room. But if I install internet for all rooms—guest rooms, common rooms, and all your buildings—do you agree that I can go ahead with the plan?”
