The crowd gasped, and Turner had the audacity to look taken aback.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Don’t you? Why lie? I’ve already been informed. I hoped you would come clean. If you had, I might have gone through with this.” I waved to the ceremony hall around us. “But you can’t even be honest with me,” my voice broke.

“Kenna, I sincerely don’t know where you got your information, but I never cheated on you. I mean, women flirted with me last night, but I turned them all away. Please, baby, you have to believe me.”

“I don’t,” I said, tears welling in my eyes. “I don’t believe you. We’re done, Turner.”

I turned away from him as tears spilled down my cheeks, and I didn’t look back, even as guests started to stir.

I walked out of the hall, so beautifully decorated, and left the vineyard on foot as I ripped the veil from my head.
