“We are?” His brow arched.

“Yes. I told Shaun and Jenni we’ll have everyone over so they can announce their big news. Then, I can ask the girls to be my bridesmaids.”

“We haven’t set a date yet,” he spoke.

“I got to thinking about that, and I’ve come up with a date.”

“Oh yeah.” The corners of his mouth curved upward. “What date are you thinking?”

“June 3rd.”

“The day we met. I love that date.”

“You remembered.” I smiled as I softly stroked the back of his head.

“I will never forget the day I first saw you sitting on the lounge chair by the pool. I knew you were going to be my future wife right then and there.”

“Liar.” I laughed. “You were never getting married again.”

“True.” His lips softly brushed against mine. “But I knew somehow I needed you in my life.”

“You mean in your bed.” My brow arched.

“I’m not going to win this one, am I?”

“Nope. So, what do you think?”

“I love that date. June 3rdwill be the day we become husband and wife.”

“Perfect.” I kissed his lips. “I’ll send out a group text inviting everyone over tonight.” I climbed off his lap. “We better start planning now because it’s less than five months away.”

“Hold on a second, babe. Do you want to get married at the Beverly Hills Hotel like the rest of the family did?” he asked.

“I would love to if you do.”

“I’m afraid it might not be available. Usually, the rooms are booked a year or two in advance.”

“Can you call and find out? I have a patient to see,” I asked.

“I’ll call right now.” He smiled.

“Thank you. I love you.” I blew him a kiss from the doorway.

“I love you too.”

CHAPTER7

Jackson

I glanced at my watch, got up from my chair, and walked to the reception desk.

“June, I’m heading out for a while. What time is my next patient coming in?”

“A couple of hours, Jackson.”

“Okay. Good.” The corners of my mouth curved upward when I saw Ella sitting there, playing on her iPad. “Want to go for a ride with me, Dr. Kind?”

“Where are we going?” she asked.
