“Yes. I’m Dr. Jackson Kind.” Jackson’s eyes widened as he stared at me, and I laughed.

“Come with me.” He waved. “And have a seat.”

Jackson and I sat in the baby blue wing-backed chairs across from his rectangular glass desk.

“So.” He folded his hands. “Where is the happy event taking place?”

“We’re getting married in the Crystal Gardens at the Beverly Hills Hotel, and the reception is in the Crystal Ballroom,” I spoke.

“Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful.” He grinned. “Now, what colors are you thinking?”

“I definitely want pink roses.” I smiled.

“Perfect. I have a portfolio dedicated to pink.” He grinned. “It’s right over here.” He went to grab it and missed.

After the second time, he finally grabbed the book from the shelf and dropped it.

“Oops. Silly me.” He bent down and struggled to pick it up.

“Here. Let me help you,” Jackson spoke as he picked the book off the floor.

“Thank you, Dr. Kind. It’s just been one of those days.” Giuseppe nervously laughed.

Jackson looked at me and then sat down in his seat.

“This is some of my most recent work in pink. I can do anything you want. Your aura is soft. I envision you with soft pink mixed with white and an abundance of green. Like this one.” He pointed to the picture of bright pink flowers.

CHAPTER16

Jackson

I glanced at Georgia, who had the same expression of concern as I did. Something wasn’t right with Giuseppe.

“Giuseppe, you’re pointing at the wrong picture,” I spoke.

“Oh, dear. Am I? I’ll be right back. Please continue looking through the book.” He stood up and went into the back.

“Something’s wrong with him, Georgia.”

“I know.”

“He needs to see a doctor asap,” I said.

“Are you going to tell him that?” she asked.

I stood from my chair and waited for him to return. As he walked past me, I dropped my keys on the floor.

“Oops.” He stopped and bent down to pick them up. It took him a couple of tries, but he finally managed. “Looks like I’m not the only one dropping things today.” He smiled as he handed me my keys.

“Giuseppe, how long has this been going on?” I asked.

“What are you talking about, Dr. Kind?”

“Your loss of coordination and judging distances?”

“I’m sorry, but I don’t—”

“It’s okay.” I placed my hand on his shoulder. “What else have you been experiencing?”
