“I want you to know that the flowers for your wedding are on us.”

“Please. You are not going to do that.”

“We are, Dr. Kind. It’s our thank you for what you’ve done for my brother.”

“You’re very kind, and we’ll discuss it when the time comes.” I placed my hand on his shoulder.

“How much longer until he wakes up?” Matteo asked.

“Most likely a few more hours. So, go deliver those flowers and get back here.” I smiled. “I’m heading home, and the nurses will call me if anything comes up. His vitals are strong, so I don’t anticipate anything going wrong.”

I left the hospital, and when I arrived home, I saw Georgia sitting on the patio with Jenni.

“Hey, beautiful.” I kissed the top of her head. “Hello, mama.” I kissed the top of Jenni’s head.

“Oh my God, Jackson. How is Giuseppe?” Jenni asked. “That poor man.”

“He’s doing well. The tumor was localized and very easy to remove. He’ll make a full recovery.”

“Thank God,” Georgia spoke.

“Are those the bridesmaid dresses?” I pointed to Jenni’s sketchpad she was holding.

“Yes. What do you think?” Jenni grinned. “I made one little change.”

“All of you will look absolutely stunning in them.” I smiled. “I’ll be in my office if you need me, babe,” I spoke to Georgia.

“Okay. Are you working?”

“Yes. I’m working on our honeymoon.” I winked as a smile crossed my lips.

CHAPTER18

Georgia

“Today’s the big day.” Jackson glanced at me as I put my makeup on.

“I know.” A wide grin crossed my face. First, Sofia & Nathan, and then Jenni and Shaun.”

“I can’t believe how fast this family is growing,” Jackson said.

“I know. And if Emilia gets pre—” I stopped myself. Shit.

“What do you mean? Are they trying?”

“Uh. I don’t know.” I ran a brush through my hair.

“Georgia?” The corners of Jackson’s mouth curved upward.

“Doctor/patient confidentiality, babe.” I kissed his cheek and walked out of the bathroom.

“That doesn’t apply to us. We’re family.” He shouted.

“You know better than that, Dr. Kind.” I slipped into my shoes. “I have to go. Maybe I’ll see you at the hospital if one of my patients goes into labor.” I smiled as I walked into the bathroom.

“Why are you getting to the medical center so early?” His brows furrowed.

“I need to catch up on reports before I start seeing patients.” I kissed his lips. “I love you.”
