CHAPTER30

Jackson

After the guys and I got fitted for our tuxedos, we went to the Kind Brewhouse for some alcohol and food.

“You look tired.” I placed my hand on Nathan’s shoulder.

“I am. Nicholas was up every hour last night.”

“He’s only a couple of weeks old. It’s to be expected.”

“I feel bad for Sofia having to feed him so much. She’s exhausted,” Nathan said.

“He truly is a Kind.” Simon grinned.

“Why do you say that?” I asked him.

“Because he can’t get enough of the titties.”

“Jesus Christ.” Sam slapped the back of his head.

“That was awesome!” Conner laughed as he pointed at Simon, and I slapped the back of his head.

“Is Nikki coming in for the bachelorette party?” Shaun asked.

“Yeah. She’ll be here on Friday.”

“Bro, have you told Sofia that you slept with her?” Conner asked.

“Sofia knows. I’m not stupid.”

“Just making sure. Talk about awkward.”

“Kind of like it was for Shaun when he found out Simon and Jenni slept together several times.” Stefan smiled.

“It wasn’t awkward at all,” Shaun said as he furrowed his brows.

“Bullshit, brother.” Sam laughed.

“Was it awkward for you?” Simon asked.

“Maybe just a little. You are my brother, and I knew you were my brother at the time.”

“It’s okay.” Simon hooked his arm around him. “You’re a good man. I might have had to kick your ass if the situation were reversed.” Simon’s phone beeped, and when he looked at it, he sighed. “That was Grace. We just got called to a murder scene. I have to go.”

“Listen, guys. I want you all to go to Vegas for Jackson’s bachelor party. I feel bad.”

“Bro, we aren’t going to Vegas. We’re having the party here.” I placed my hand on Nathan’s back. “And you need to stop feeling bad. I know you don’t want to leave Sofia and the baby yet. It’s too soon. I’m happy with just sitting around the bonfire with our alcohol and our guitars.”

“As long as we’re together drinking and having a good time, the place doesn’t matter.” Conner held up his glass, and we all tapped ours against it.”

We all left the Brewhouse and headed home. Conner followed me inside because he said he needed to talk to Georgia and me about something.

“Hey, you two.” Georgia smiled. “Did you have fun today?”

“We did.” I kissed her. “Conner said he needs to speak to us about something.”

“Okay. What is it?” The three of us sat at the table.
