The man reluctantly gets up. He walks naked across the room and glances back. "I'll be only a shout away."

Colton motions with his fingers toward the door. "It's fine."

The man steps out.

Kalim tosses Colton a pair of boxers.

"Where would he take her?" I push.

Colton gets out of bed and slides on the boxers. His guilty eyes dart between Kalim and me.

My gut churns faster. I step closer, snarling, "What do you know, Colton?"

He squeezes his eyes shut briefly, then admits, "Noah has a place he takes the 'special ones.'" He makes quotes with his fingers.

Rage explodes inside me. I grab his shoulders and seethe, "What does that mean?"

Kalim pushes me off Colton, declaring, "Relax. He's not the enemy."

"Colton, you better start talking!" I warn.

He asks, "How do you know he has her?"

"She texted him about a meeting with Scratch," Kalim answers.

His face turns green. He puts his hand on his stomach, and his eyes fill with tears. He turns toward the window, and his hands tremble.

"My wife is with him. Start talking," I bark.

Colton's voice cracks. "He..." He clears his throat, then glances at the ceiling, admitting, "Noah has a penthouse about ten minutes from here. He lures you there to collaborate with a more successful musician than you, then..."

My blood flows hotter. I snarl, "Then what?"

Colton wipes his cheek and spins to face us but several tears flow from his eyes. He shakes his head, claiming, "He drugs you, records you, then blackmails you. He destroys your relationship with anyone he doesn't want in your life. And it ties you to him for life. Then he makes you sign even more of your royalties to him, keeping you in a decent lifestyle but not the one you've earned."

I clench my fists at my sides. "And you said nothing to warn Blakely?"

Shame erupts on Colton's expression. He chokes out, "I'm sorry."

"Where is it?" Kalim asks.

Colton grabs his phone off the desk then types on it.

My cell rings. I glance at the screen, and an address pops up. I order Kalim, "Let's go."

We rush through the penthouse.

Colton calls out, "Let me know she's okay. Please!"

I ignore him and push the button for the elevator. The doors open, and Kalim and I ride it to the garage.

He announces, "I'll drive," and hops into a black SUV parked near the elevator.

I get into the passenger side.

He turns on the engine, holds his phone to his ear, and states, "I sent an address. I need janitorial services." He hangs up.

"What's that?" I question.
