He shakes his head. "If you leave Noah, no one in the industry will touch you."

"But I had a dozen agents after me," I argue.

He sniffs hard. "And you didn't choose them. You're dead to them. Noah will blackball you faster than you can contact any of them."

I put my hand over my churning stomach. "Riggs wouldn't let that happen to me."

Colton sits down and grabs my hand. "Listen closely, Blakely. Riggs doesn't run this industry."

I furrow my eyebrows, not liking what Colton is insinuating. Did I choose the incorrect agent? Is Noah really that powerful?

He sighs, confessing, "I'm going to have to end my career to have a life or stay in the closet forever."

"I don't think that's true. Really. You should talk to Riggs," I insist.

He downs the rest of his whiskey, and his phone buzzes. He pulls it out of his pocket, glances at it, and stares at me.

"What is it?" I question.

He hesitates.

"Go on. Tell me whatever you want to say," I encourage.

He winces, then answers, "How bad would it be if I asked you to leave the room?"

"Why?" I question.

"I need to let off some steam." He arches his eyebrows.

It dawns on me what he's insinuating. "Sorry. Duh. Who's the lucky guy?"

He shrugs. "Does it matter?"

I don't hesitate. "Yes."

He scoffs. "Says the married woman. Then again, if I had Riggs to go home and kneel to, I wouldn't be here."

I open my mouth to object but nothing comes out. I snap it shut, and the throbbing sensation in my core that rose when Riggs warned me he was going to punish me tonight takes hold.

"Is he as good as I think he is?" Colton inquires.

I can't lie. My face burns hot, and I look away. Tingles race down my spine thinking about Riggs.

Colton groans. "I thought so. Well, lucky you."

I try to rise, but I'm wobbly on my feet. I curse myself for drinking too many glasses of champagne.

He grabs me. "You okay, superstar?"

I take a deep breath. "Yep."

He bites on his lip, waits a minute, then states, "I'll probably be an hour. Is it okay if I text you when I'm done?"

The thought of being at this party without Colton next to me doesn't excite me. And I realize there's only one thing I want to be doing. I lift my chin and shake my head. "No. I think I'm done with this scene. I'm going to have Kalim take me home."

Colton's lips twitch. He teases, "Going to surprise Daddy and beg him for a punishment?"

My butterflies flutter so hard that I become queasy. I step out of Colton's grasp and reply, "Have fun. Call me tomorrow and let me know how the rest of your night went."
