He continued to stare at me, but I couldn't take it anymore.

"I understand why you don't trust us. But please, hear me out before making up your mind. We can help you defeat this dragon," Henry said.

Grayson didn't respond immediately, he just stared at Henry. Finally, when he did speak, his tone was less aggressive.

"Okay. What do you suggest?"

"Well first off, we figure out which one the dark dragon is. That is the most important part. That is all we need you to do."

"And then what?"

"Then you leave. We won't bother you again."

I watched as Grayson nodded his head.

"Alright. I'll go along with this for now. But if I find out you're lying to me, I will make sure you regret it."

Henry nodded his head and said he would be in touch. Grayson turned and walked away and I felt like my heart had been ripped from my chest.

The look of disappointment on Grayson's face was one I had seen so many times over the years. The fact that he was willing to listen to me made me feel like maybe I could work something out with him after all.

As we headed back to the motel, I tried not to think about it too much because I was determined to focus on the mission in front of us.

Henry called later that night asking Grayson to help him look for the dark dragon's cave. He insisted that the dark dragon had a place hidden so no one would know his real identity, which meant the rest of his horde wouldn't be aware there was a dark dragon among them.

While waiting for him to return, I was hit with an uneasy feeling; like something was about to happen. I started to pick up the phone to call Grayson, but he was busy with Henry, and I didn't think he would take it seriously anyway.

Instead, I decided to text Drako to apologize for the way Grayson had behaved and see if he wanted to hang out. It only took him a few seconds to return my text, saying he would be there soon.

I hurried to the bathroom to start getting ready, feeling more nervous than I usually did about seeing him. I couldn't shake my feelings of anxiety and I was constantly checking the time.

When I heard the knock on the door, I rushed to answer it. I opened the door and saw Drako standing there smiling brightly. His eyes scanned me from head to toe and I smiled back at him.

"Wow, you look gorgeous today," he said, looking me up and down.

"Thank you," I replied, slightly blushing.

Drako leaned forward and kissed me gently. "Come on," he said, pulling me toward the car.

I laughed as I followed him into the car. As he drove us down the road, I caught myself staring at him in awe.

"You're beautiful," he told me.

"Stop it," I replied, laughing.

"Fine. Are you going to tell me what's on your mind?"

"It's nothing," I said quickly.

"Why were you so nervous about seeing me again?" He asked.

"I... you..." I stuttered, trying to figure out what to say.

"Tell me," he demanded.

I sighed and gave up.

"Alright," I began, "I've been having weird feelings again like someone is watching me."
