She wanted him. Honestly, she did. She could have him over and over. But she couldn't. Last night was enough. Doing it the one time was to get him out of her system. She'd wanted him so badly she had to give in.

She didn't expect it to bring them closer together, but what did she expect? The man was perfect, minus the fact he didn't want to settle down. Mason was the perfect man that any woman on the planet would want.

"Mason," she whispered into his ear. "We are in public. We need to stop. People will notice what we are doing."

She could hear him growl in her ear, and she chuckled. He really was an animal, after all.

"I'm sorry," she teased. "Let's get back and enjoy the rest of the museum. I want to see as much as I can before we go back. We still have to see the entire gallery."

He sighed and pushed himself back. He looked deep into her eyes for a moment before he spoke up. "I suppose." He pulled back some of her free hair, pressing his fingers across her cheek. "But I really want to take you into the bathroom and continue this."

She smirked. "We can certainly make out in the car on the way to the airport."

His smile widened. "I will take that."

She stepped into him, kissing him once more before she walked past him, being sure to shake her ass a little. She watched his eyes widen, but he hurried after her.

When they got back home to Scaramouche, she would tell him she didn't want to have a relationship. She'd be honest and tell him it wasn't worth their time, and they should both move on. They didn't have what it took to last.

She didn't figure it would bother him too much. He could find another girl easily. She might have a tough time after going to London for a date. She couldn't say another man would do that for her.

The idea of being honest with him made her feel less anxious. She liked the idea of telling him the truth after trying to hide it. But she also knew she would be sad and disappointed because she had hoped deep down this would work.

ELEVEN

MASON

Mason was so excited to be back from London just so he could ask Ellie how she felt about the entire trip. And maybe because he wanted to be the most exciting thing to her.

He thought it went splendidly well. They had an exciting time and got along really well. He couldn't see this not working out. They had so much in common.

But Ellie was sitting next to him, and somehow, he thought she was far away. She was staring outside, watching them getting ready to land. For most of the flight, she’d been quiet.

He figured it was just the idea of going home. But something told him maybe it wasn't. So, he tried pushing the idea because everything had gone well. They slept together, after all.

"I had a wonderful time," he said, hoping to get her talking. Ellie looked at him with a sweet smile just as the plane landed.

"I had a great time. I'm glad I got photos because everything was just breathtaking. You never know how beautiful something is until you see it in person."

He liked that she loved it so much. It was a good sign. They could travel to other places, and both enjoy the views together. It was a picture-perfect idea. Yet still, he felt she wasn't feeling everything. They hadn't spoken about another date.

They both got off the plane, and he decided to drive them to her house himself. So, they took his car.

Ellie sat next to him, looking comfortable. She pulled out her phone and started flipping through the pictures. "I'm going to have to frame some of these."

"You will," he agreed as she showed him a few. "They really capture the history."

They both smiled as they flipped through pictures she had taken throughout their trip. They did a lot for a date, and honestly, he'd wished they'd done more. He wanted to stay longer, but he knew that it would be weird on the first date.

So, he figured they could make their next date longer. They could go to more cities across Europe. Maybe he could show her Spain or Italy. The idea made him giddy.

As they pulled up in front of her house, she sighed deeply. "It's nice to be back. Thank you for this."

They both got out, and he pulled her bags out of the trunk. He really wanted to ask her about their next date. They hadn't spoken about one.

He cleared his throat. "When will we see each other again? I know you'll be busy with school, but I'm always free," he asked, shutting the trunk. He wanted to set a time down.

Ellie froze. She turned from her bag and looked at him. She wet her lips before she sighed. "We won't."
