The ability to incapacitate.

She’s sure he knows the exact pressure points to render her unconscious in moments.

And so, she bites her tongue, nods, and allows him to help her into the passenger seat.

Every time he touches her, she flinches, waiting for a violent strike.

But it never comes. Instead, she holds her breath as he reaches over and buckles her seatbelt, her arms straining at the awkward angle.

“This is probably going to hurt,” he admits. “But I don’t trust you won’t barrel roll out of the car.”

She seethes and fights the urge to kick him.

It probably wouldn’t even bother him.

“Why the fuck were you here anyway?” he snaps, glancing at the Omega’s scowling face. She’s beautiful, of course, but there’s a crease of worry between her brows that he wants to wipe away.

She’sterrifiedof him, but she’s doing an excellent job of replacing that fear with anger.

It frustrates him when she doesn’t answer. She looks away instead, giving him an excellent view of her side profile.

Dainty nose. Flushed, high cheekbones, and a smart mouth pulled into a scowl.

“What were you thinking?” he demands, and that gets her attention.
