She’s going to vomit.
“What do you want with me? Don’t you have an Omega to find?” she shouts, slowly losing her balance. She’s going to collapse.
His sinister smile reappears. “You really don’t know? Oh, Audrey, comeon. I already found my Omega.”
They engage in a staring contest.
There’s no way he thinks that…
“I won’t play your game,” she snaps. “I don’t know what you want, but you need to leave my house and never come back.”
But Pearl decides it’s an excellent time to trot over to him, flop onto his boots, and expose her dark belly.
Thetraitor.
With a gentleness she didn’t think he possessed, he leans down to stroke her dark stomach. “She’s much nicer than you, by the way. She doesn’t hiss at me.”
“Get out of my house and leave my cat alone!”
He sighs, gives Pearl one last scratch under her chin, and stands back up. “If you insist. I don’t want to impose, of course.” He smirks.
“GET OUT!”
“That temper is going to get you in trouble,” he continues, giving her a wicked grin. “Try to get some more sleep, babe. I’ll be back soon. Also, don’t call the police again.”
She opens her mouth to retort, but he holds up a hand. “You know it’s a federal crime to break into a government operated building? It would be such a shame if that security footage was released.” His smile is dazzling but a little crazed.
She hates him.
“Don’t ever come back,” she chokes out as tears fill her eyes.
“Sorry to disappoint you, but I have to,” he continues. “You need me, whether you like it or not.”
“I don’t need anyone,” she spits out, sounding like a petulant child.
I don’t need anyone, least of all you.
“Which is why it’s going to be so much more delicious when I hear you say it.”
Dumbfounded and offended, she watches as he opens the door and shuts it behind him.
It isn’t until he’s gone that she realizes that something wet is sliding down her thighs.
Oh, no.

Well,that went better than he expected.
She may not have embraced him with open arms, but at least she didn’t hurl a plate at him.
It definitely was an improvement from their last meeting.
But he couldn’t help himself.
Terrorizing people is what he’s done for years.
