I slide another package across the table to him. “I got her a pizza sub.” His eyes widen and he studies me carefully, then the sandwich. “It’s not a bomb. It’s just a sub. And everybody loves pizza subs.”

“You didn’t have to do that.”

“Wasn’t it your day off? You spend all day working on my store to get it up and running. The least I can do is buy you and your sister dinner. It’s just sandwiches.” I shrug and take a bite out of my sandwich, moaning. “So good.”

His hard eyes lock on me and he licks his full lips again and I want to climb over this table and crawl into his lap, grinding down on the solid package that his tight jeans don’t begin to hide.

“You shouldn’t make noises like that, princess. It gives a man ideas.”

I put my sandwich down and wipe my hands on a napkin and then prop my head on my hand. “Like what?”

He stands and stalks over to stand in front of me. “Like this!” Then he reaches those big, meaty hands down and pulls me up the tight, coiled muscles of his body, growling when I wrap my legs around his waist.

“I like the way you think, princess.” Then he leans down and his lips claim mine, lightly at first. Then he groans and his mouth opens over mine, his tongue diving between my lips, sweeping over the sides of my mouth and dueling with my tongue.

“So good,” he growls roughly, one hand coming up to wrap around my head and twist into my hair, holding my head steady as he delves into my mouth and devours my soft moans.

He drops me to my toes and then pushes the two of us backwards until he has me leaning over the table, my feet off the ground, basically held up by him as I teeter on the edge. His hand slides over my breasts and cups one roughly, making my head fall back with a deep moan. His mouth comes down on my throat and his teeth scrape along my skin.

“Oh my god!” I squeak.

He moans and then his mouth comes up to rest on my ear where he whispers, “You drive me crazy, princess.”

“Good. I like you crazy, neanderthal.” This feels too fast, too overwhelming but I can’t stop it. I don’t want to stop it.

“We shouldn’t do this, princess. Not right here. Not right now.”

“Don’t stop,” I whimper.

“Princess,” he groans roughly, as his hands run up and down my body, lighting flames under my skin, everywhere he touches. He drags me closer and his hands run up my thighs to the place I need him to touch me. The ache flares up and my hips thrust into his hand, desperate for the release that only he can give me.

His hand runs up, until it’s curling into my needy pussy. “Harrison,” I moan, my fingers digging into the back of his neck, scraping at his skin.

“So dang pretty, princess. Lord, you’re like a wet dream, baby girl.”

His head goes down my body and just when he reaches my waist, a phone rings.

His head pops up and he pulls his phone out of his pocket and groans. “Shit! That’s my sister. I’ve got to go.”

He stands up and eyes me like he’s ready to ravage me, eat me alive. He runs his hands through his hair and closes his eyes, taking a deep breath.

“I’m sorry, princess. I should never have touched you like that. You’re too damn good for the likes of me.” Then he grabs his things, including the food for his sister and stalks to the door. “Thank you for dinner, princess.”

He turns to look back at me. His eyes are sad and solemn. “Damn. I wish that damn phone hadn’t rung.”

He stalks out and the door shuts behind him. I fall back to the table and groan. What the hell just happened?

Whatever it was, I didn’t want it to stop. And that should definitely scare the shitake mushrooms out of me.

CHAPTER7

Harrison

“What the hell was that call about, Heather?” I stomp inside the house, my head fuzzy with desire and my body still throbbing, aching for Daffy.

“I just wanted to know when you were going to get home. There’s no food in the house and I’m not allowed to go anywhere, remember?” She snarks, her hands on her hips.

“I brought you a sandwich, sis.”
