“Damn. What can we do to help?”

“I’m not going to let them win. Mia and I are going to get married tomorrow.”

“What about the cliff?”

"I'll see if Mira and the other girls can help with decorations, and we'll scout out a different spot for the ceremony. But keep it low key. And be careful. These little tricks are just child’s play compared to what the Romanos and the Corsicans are capable of."

I approached the group of girls all surrounding Mia, and they all turned to me.

"It looks like the Corsicans are the ones to blame for this. We found some graffiti tags on the rocks over by the cliff."

"I was just telling Mia not to worry at all about any of this. Us girls are going to handle all the decorations and we will find another location for the wedding," Mira said, and I was grateful for my sister’s help. I knew it would make Mia feel better.

“Good, I've already told my guys to start scouting for another spot around the Gorge where we can set up for the ceremony."

“Teo, are you sure we should be doing this here? Now? Between the photograph that was sent to me and now the vandalism, it seems like someone is determined to make sure this wedding doesn’t happen.”

“And we can’t let them win,” I said with determination while slipping my arm around Mia’s waist and pulling her closer to me.

“But is that really a good reason to get married? To make sure that someone else doesn’twin?”

“That’s not why I want to marry you. Whether it’s tomorrow or ten years from now, I’m still going to want to be married to you. I love you and I know you love me too. That is the reason we are getting married. I’m just done letting other people stand in the way of finally making you mine, fully and completely.”

“Don’t you know, I’ve been yours all along?”

I pulled Mia to me and kissed her firmly, pressing her soft body firmly against mine until I could feel the heat of her skin. After a long moment, I pulled away, resting my forehead against hers.

“I will marry you tomorrow, Mia. Nothing will stand in the way of that.”

“Good,” Mia sighed the word, seeming more relaxed than she had been.

“Look, why don’t you two let us handle things here? We all know how to walk down an aisle, so we don’t really need a rehearsal. We’ll sort this all out while you two go enjoy yourselves. Grab some dinner and don’t worry about anything.” Mira’s confidence was contagious and suddenly I found myself feeling as though I really didn’t have anything to worry about.

“Okay. Mia? What do you say?”

Mia looked at Mira and the other’s gathered around us. “If you’re sure.”

“Positive. Now, go, you two.”
