I didn’t even look at them. I wasn’t sure which one was my stalker back in Boston, but if I never saw their faces again it would be too soon.

“Iwillsee you again.” Sienna reached up to put a hand on each of her sons’ shoulders, then whispered another spell. They vanished.

I threw the boulder aside, and the ground trembled as it landed.

Amelia raced to my side. “Are you okay?”

“Yeah. Just tired.” She helped me find a log to sit on.

“What can we do?” she asked.

I couldn’t take my eyes off the pack. They’d circled around Zeke, shielding him from the coven. Maybe wolves didn’t like people to see them shift. I still had plenty to learn.

I scanned the coven. “Where’s Lillian?”

“We left her with Mathias. He was taking her back to his house. It was too cold for her, and the wolves were too fast for Mathias to keep up.” She shook her head. “Who was that?”

“The leader of the Coven of Shadows.” I sighed and met her eyes. “Can you take everyone back to the bluff and let them know I’ll bring you all up to speed tomorrow.”

Amelia nodded and pulled me into a tight hug. “I’m glad you’re all right.” Her grin widened. “You never told me you were a badass Earth Elemental.”

I let out an exhausted chuckle. “I didn’t know until a few days ago, and I wasn’t badass until I…” My voice wobbled as I looked over at the pack.

Amelia followed my gaze and patted my leg. “You care about him.”

I nodded, not trusting myself to open my mouth. It was killing me to keep this secret. Amelia gave me a knowing look. “The pack and the coven are starting brand-new chapters. You two get to write them.” She shrugged. “I think we all worked well together tonight.”

“Me too.”

She got up. “I’ll round everyone up and let them know to meet us at the Crow’s Nest tomorrow.”

I nodded and thanked her as one of the pack members walked over to gather what was left of Zeke’s clothes. He brought them back over to the pack where Zeke was shifting. I stared at my feet as shivers racked my shoulders. Even with my hood back up, my skin was slick with sweat and now I was freezing. But I wasn’t going anywhere. I’d rather be an icicle than leave these woods without Zeke.

Branches cracked, and I looked up to find Zeke stumbling toward me. No shirt, his jeans were ripped, his hair was a mess, but he was alive. I got up and managed to run to him. His smile widened as he caught me in his arms, swinging me around.

His hand cradled the back of my head as he whispered, “You’re all right.”

I pulled back with tears in my eyes. “I love you.”

The words came out before I remembered we weren’t alone. Zeke looked over at his pack, who no doubt had heard every word I just said. He met my eyes as he caressed my cheek and smiled. “I love you, too. And I don’t give a shit who knows it.” He looked over at the massive rock I’d used to shield us. “Looks like you figured out how to use those Elemental powers after all.”

I nodded slowly. “Love was the answer all along.”

He searched my eyes. “You’re amazing.”

He made me feel that way. My eyes wandered over the area, searching for any sign of stray witches or werewolves. “Did you find the werewolf hunter?”

“Yeah. He’s been eliminated.” He raked a hand through his hair. “But there were two human hunters who killed my packmates. I took out the one who Mathias had bitten during the full moon, but the other guy is still out there someplace.”

“We’ll find him. Maybe the coven can help.” Lillian and Mathias had always kept the coven and the pack very separate from each other, but Zeke and I were the future in Salem. Why not work together? We’d be stronger for it.

“I’d welcome all the help we can get. Come on.” He took my hand and threaded his fingers with mine as we walked over to his pack. “I want to introduce you to everyone.”

The men all turned as we approached. Zeke held up our joined hands. “Ruby is my mate.”

“Seriously?” The tall wolf beside him grinned. “You found your mate?”

Zeke nodded and smiled at me. “This is Wyatt. He’s my second-in-command until I have an heir to the Alpha spot.”
