“Do it, as in kiss.” I stepped toward her—at least I hoped I was— “Well, and sex. That’d be fun, too, but we’re just getting to know each other.”

She sucked in a sharp breath. Oh yeah, she was a virgin.

“What floor are we on?”

“Sixth.”

“We got time.” I stepped closer, and a wave of her sweet breath flowed over me. Warm hands rested on my chest. I put mine over them. Yeah, they were small, weren’t they?

“What did happen at the hospital? You—you were weird after you kissed me.” She cleared her throat. “Did I do something wrong?”

“Oh my gosh. Are you kidding me?” One more step, and my foot landed on hers. “Damn it. Sorry.”

“It’s okay. So I didn’t do something wrong?”

“Hell no, girl. You did everything right. Come here. I’ll stay in control this time.”

“What do you mean?”

“You really don’t have any idea what you do to me, do you?” And that was adorable. I would have bet a million dollars she was blushing right now.

I reached for her face. My finger landed on something soft, and a little wet. She jerked, then shifted my hand down a little. “I might need that eye later.”

Shit. “Come to me, then. My aim isn’t any good.”

She fisted my shirt and tugged me forward. “Lean down. You’re so tall.” Her voice was breathy. Raspy. And if that didn’t turn my crank that much more.

Soft lips met mine, and I was home. There wasn’t anything better. Nothing! And I’d challenge any prick who suggested otherwise. Her hands framed my face and held me close.

She tasted like sugar from the soda and salt from the pizza, and I couldn’t help but deepen the kiss.

I registered the constant beeping of the floors we were passing, but I’d lost count. If only I could stop this thing and stay attached to her for a few days.

At this moment I wasn’t blind.

Wasn’t homeless.

Wasn’t a total mess.

It was just me and her. “LizBelle.”

She leaned back, and I sucked her neck, hard. Her body jerked, but she clung to me that much harder. Good. I hadn’t scared her.

“Please tell me I can touch you more.” I drew her earlobe into my mouth and gave it a bite. “At your place. I owe you for earlier.”

Her breathing increased, but she didn’t say anything. I bent down and ran my tongue along her neck. Her pulse jumped.

“Earlier?” She pressed a light kiss to my jaw. Then another to my chin. Tiny kisses, barely felt them, but felt them more than any other kiss before. Such a strange feeling. She was testing things out. Exploring.

And by earlier, I’d meant, she deserved some serious attention and pleasure tonight for how much I took from her earlier today on the hospital floor. I couldn’t wait, either. So much to explore. What would she taste like?

The elevator slowed, and I bit back a curse. Her body tensed, and I swore I heard her pulse take off. “We’re fine,” I whispered.

“Stay close,” she said and led me out the door.

Another beep sounded and a click. Something unlatched and a creak followed. “Come on.”

She tugged my hand, and I stepped into a world of scents. I caught vanilla, sugar, strawberry, and something fresh, like rain. I wasn’t sure how that happened, but I didn’t care. I’d stepped into Lizzie’s world. Her home.
