“Sure, sure.”

“Thanks, Zee.” I rolled my eyes.

“You gotta tell us now. Wait, you’re going to need more coffee for this. We’re gonna be here a while.” Lucy signalled the server for a refill and once the mugs were topped up, she grabbed my cup, inhaling the scent of coffee with an ecstatic look on her face, before handing it back.

“I’m pretty sure I just saw your orgasm face and I’m not okay with that.”

“You probably did.” She rubbed her hand over her bulging belly. “I can’t wait to enjoy the taste of coffee again. I hope I will, anyway. But I digress. Gabe. Allegra. Multiple orgasms. Go.”

I let out a sigh, not quite sure I wanted to get into this, but since I had no idea how to avoid it, I just dived right in. “It was the night of your wedding, Zara.”

“Ah, yes, that slow dance was to die for,” Lucy smirked.

“Fuck off.”

“And he looked so hot in that suit.”

I rolled my eyes at Zara again. “You can fuck off too.” I blew out a breath. “Oh god, he really did, didn’t he?”

Emma nodded, an eager smile on her face.

“How’d it happen?”

“I said, ‘I think we should fuck’. He said, ‘okay’. So we did. The end.”

“Oh my god, Ally, we need details. Right, I’ve got this, ladies.” Lucy put her milkshake down. “Your place or his?”

“His.” I never, ever let guys come to my place.

“How long were you there?”

“About half an hour.”

“How many O’s?”

“Three.”

“In thirty minutes? Oh, that’s not that great.”

I actually laughed at the sheer disappointment in Lucy’s voice. “There was, uh, quite a lot of foreplay, if that helps. Like, if you’re only counting from the first O to the last, his average is pretty high.”

“I love foreplay,” Zara suddenly said, a dreamy expression in her eyes.

“Yeah, think I might have just seen your orgasm face, too.”

“This is all very Lucy-approved. Continue.”

“That’s it. Three orgasms, I said, ‘This was fun,’ and I left. Like I said, the end.”

“Something tells me that’s not, in fact, the end.”

Damn Lucy and her perceptive, narrowed eyes. That assessing look that made me squirm, because she always saw too much.

“You did it again?”

Why not. I’d already told them everything else: leaving the second time out seemed pretty pointless. “Yes. It was the night he found out about Jesse. He just seemed so…”

They fell silent after that, all the good-humored banter evaporating. “Ohh… That would have been tough.” Lucy ran a protective hand over her belly. They all knew Jesse’s story.
