"We are an extended family, so I am sure you have your brothers, cousins, nephews…."

"Stop! Stop this madness, Jas!"

"I have the right to make my own decisions, don't I?"

"You do, but when your decision is out of the ordinary, it's my duty as your father to..."

"I am an adult now, Dad, and I can take full responsibility for my actions."

"No, I disagree with that. Nobody is ever going to inherit my wealth except you." The man declared, and Jasper gave him an amused look.

"Is that so?" He asked. His father didn't answer but gave

him a look to explain what he meant.

"This wasn't your decision several years ago, was it?"

"What do you mean?" Valentino felt his heart quake.

"You plan on making your company a public one and distributing your wealth among the extended family." He said with a strange smile, and the two elderly people started coughing.

Looking at the butler and his father coughing uncomfortably, he stood up and found his way out of his father's study.

After a week, he was called into the study by his father.

"What again, Dad?" He asked with a bored expression.

"If you are annoyed about the decision I made, then I apologize for that. I made that decision because of your behavior then; you may not believe me, but I was pained making such a decision."

"Firstly, I am not annoyed, and secondly, you're forgiven, but I still won't accept your offer."

"It's not an offer, son; it's your right."

"And I have the right to reject such a right," Jasper said, still having the same bored expression on his face.

"Your recent attitude would make me have high blood pressure for real." Valentino cursed his luck for giving him such a stubborn and weird son. Who on earth wouldn't want to acquire such properties and positions with other benefits that follow?

"You are as strong as I am, if not stronger, Dad. Don't go saying things like this." Jasper said as a good son would say to his father, but his expression said otherwise.

"I'll be off, Dad, or I'll be late for work." He told the man to have him turn red from anger.

Jasper left hurriedly to avoid being stopped or hearing any more nagging.

"Who would go to work for someone when he can work as his own boss!?" Valentino yelled.

He was constantly yelling and getting mad, which bothered the servants and butler in the mansion.

"Joel," he called his butler.

"Yes, sir."

"Freeze his accounts, stop him from entering this house, and seize his cars!"

"Pardon?"

"Just do it; that boy needs to come to his senses by every means possible."

"Okay, sir." The butler said and gave his usual bow with hesitation before he left to do the bidding of his master.
