Elizabeth: James Everett Sterling. We’re calling him Everett.
Juno: I LOVE IT!
Olivia: (sent with fireworks) That’s perfect. Welcome to the family, Everett!
Will: Can’t wait to meet him. The name is perfect.
Zadie: Where are the pictures? We need pictures.
Eli: I’m glad for another boy. Poor Micah was really outnumbered.
Chapter Fifty-Six
Declan
Iwake up before herbut just stay in bed, watching her sleep. She’s cuddled up against the pregnancy pillow, looking so peaceful and beautiful. My heart hurts a little watching her – knowing this is all temporary. After the baby is born, I’ll go back to my place. We’re going to be connected forever, but never together like this again.
She stirs and opens her eyes. “Were you watching me sleep?”
I just chuckle. “Yes.”
She looks at me suspiciously. “Do I have something on my face?”
I laugh. “No. You just looked really peaceful. It was nice.”
Before I can get out of bed, she says, “Another boy. Can you believe it?”
I smile. “I’m excited.”
“Me too. What do you think of his name?”
“I love it. I like that they named him after James, but he still gets his own name.”
