“Attractive right now.”
I laugh again. “You think I’m looking at you like this because Idon’tfind you attractive?”
She bites her lip. “I don’t know. If you didn’t, I wouldn’t be offended. I mean, I’m super pregnant.”
“Come here,” I say, motioning her over to the bed.
She walks over to the bed and stands beside me. I move over to the edge of the bed, so I can touch her. She steps between my legs, and I place my hands on her hips.
“Look at me,” I say.
She looks down at me, worry flooding her eyes.
“You are so fucking beautiful right now.”
She rolls her eyes. “You have to say that.”
“Maggie, do you have any idea how hard it was to sleep beside you for months when all I could think about was how much I wanted to bury myself inside you?”
I rest my hand on her bump and lean forward and place a kiss just above her belly button.
“You are growing a person – not just any person. My baby. My son.” My voice falters.
“Dex...”
I interrupt. “Maybe this makes me weird, but it also really turns me on that I made you look like this. I did this to you. You’re carrying my baby.”
“That’s very primal of you,” she says.
“It kinda is, isn’t it?”
“I think that’s hot too,” she says softly. I pull my eyes away from her bump and look up to her face. “You sure you want to do this?”
She nods.
I pull her closer to me, and she drapes her arms around my neck. “I don’t want to hurt you. You’ll tell me if somethings not feeling right.”
She runs her hands through my hair. “Of course.”
“How are we going to do it?” I ask.
She thinks for a minute and says. “We’re going to have to be creative, aren’t we?”
“Don’t think that will be a problem,” I say. “You could be on top.”
She laughs. “Won’t I crush you?”
I scowl. “No. You don’t really think that?”
“I don’t know. I’m really big.”
“I’d love the view, that’s for sure. If you’re not wanting to be on top, we could do it off the bed or with me behind.”
“Spooning,” she says.
I smile. “I’ve been thinking about that every night when we cuddle.”
“Me too.” She returns the smile before climbing in bed beside me and letting me wrap her in my arms.
