Page 151 of Face Off Flirting

Andy had been teasing me on the phone that he was in the playoffs, still playing hockey.

I was definitely enjoying fooling around with his sister much more.

“Shoot the puck, Andy!”April cried out. She looked at me. “What is he doing? Why is he passing it so much?”

I grinned.

April was just simply beautiful.

Beautiful all the time for sure, but when she had a slight buzz going, there was just something else about her.

Her eyes glistened a little.

She looked more relaxed.

She was flirty as hell too.

Leaning against me.

Her left hand touching my leg.

Next to her on a barstool was the giant teddy bear.

The bartender kept the ice-cold beer flowing.

The hockey game was intense.

Andy was not playing his best game at all.

“Here we go,” April said. “Come on, Andy…”

Andy had the puck off a turnover.

He made a little bit of a spin move, but the puck was on the backend of his stick.

“Lift it,” I whispered.

Andy tried to take a shot instead.

The puck went right to the goalie.

An easy save.

Andy threw his head back, pissed off.

The second period ended a minute later.

We ordered some food.

Had another drink. Or two.

Behind us sat a family with a young daughter who decided to call it quits on the day.

She whined about everything possible.

Not that I could blame her.

It had been a long day for all of us.
