Her brow quirks but her eyes sparkle with so much love that it washes over me and soothes my soul.

“I’ve never seen you wax so poetic before, Cody. I like it. How about you come upstairs and whisper some sweet things in my ear while you fuck me against the wall like you promised me?”

She laughs and runs up the stairs, until I catch her and throw her over my shoulder.

“Cody!”

“I got you, baby. I’ll always have you.”

And I do exactly what she wants.

“So beautiful. I love the way you feel wrapped around me, pretty girl,” I whisper in her ear as I fuck her until the picture two feet over falls off the wall and smashes to the ground.

Then I slam into her until both of us fly into the stratosphere, lost in that pleasure-filled place that only true soulmates find. Screaming and moaning we fall to pieces wrapped around each other and then come to earth, reborn in love. A love that will alway be. Like the stars above us. Millions of years can’t destroy what we’ve found. True love for a lifetime.

Epilogue One: Cody

Ichuckle at the stunned look on Sawyer’s face. For a guy with a rep with the ladies he doesn’t look like he knows what to do with this situation.

I nod over at him and Heather grins, her hand slipping into mine as she walks over beside me. “He’s up first.”

She pulls her lips in to keep from laughing. “Well, they all knew it was coming. We’ve been running the website for a little while and we’ve had plenty of people showing up to check things out. There was bound to be a buyer sooner or later. That’s why we’re doing this. And when we got the publicity from that news show I knew that it was just a matter of time.”

I laugh at Sawyer’s annoyance. “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks, Cricket. He’s stuck in a rut. I don’t think he wants to get out.”

She smirks at me and then her little hands slide up my back and under where she’s pulled my shirt loose in the back. My breathing speeds up and my dick hardens almost instantly.

“I know another guy who had that problem. I think this old dog has changed his spots quite nicely.”

I shake my head, grinning at her. “Honey, that is not how that saying goes.”

Shrugging, she bats her long, dark lashes at me. “Do you really care how the saying goes?”

I shake my head and pick her up off the steps. She throws her head back, laughing, her glasses sparkling in the bright summer light. A wave of hunger and a sense of rightness hits me at the same time. I’ve always known it but I think it’s time. I slam the door shut and then stomp up the stairs, setting her on her feet by the bed while I rustle around in my sock drawer until I find what I’m looking for. Then I drop to my knee in front of her, holding out the little black velvet box. I flip it open and her hands lift to her mouth, her beautiful grey eyes shimmering with tears and joy. She’s already bobbing her head up and down but I just chuckle.

“You gotta wait for me to say it, Cricket. That’s how this goes.” She nods and stands, motionless. I’m not even sure she’s breathing.

“Cricket, honey. I have been in love with you so long that I actually can’t remember when it started. I just know that one day I looked up and this beautiful girl was standing in front of me in the classroom and she laughed and held out her hand for me to take. Then she dragged me outside to play and I’ve never seen one single second of the day since then without knowing that you belong right by my side. If you’ll have me, I want the right to call you mine, claim you for the rest of our lives. I want to grow old with you and watch our children playing outside there in the Oklahoma dirt that has held the hopes and dreams of my family for generations. I want to know that from now on, you’re a part of this land. A part of the dream that I’ve dreamt of for years. Be my dream, Heather. Let me love you the way you should have always been loved. You’ve made me a better man and now that man knows where his home is….your heart. Marry me, Cricket. Live and love with me for the rest of this crazy life.”

The tears pour unchecked down her face as she bobs her head up and down so fast that I think she might knock herself out. “I love you so much, Cody. I have since we were kids. You’ve always been my home too.”

She leaps into my arms before I can even put the ring on her finger, wrapping her legs around my waist while her lips find mine, kissing me frantically.

I’ve never felt so consumed by desire. I throw her on the bed and then I rip my clothes off so fast that I’m just a blur…like a superhero changing out of his disguise.

I nod at her. “Get those clothes off, baby. I want to see what’s mine.”

She giggles and pulls her own clothes off, her little dress winging past my head as she tugs at her boots. Her bra and panties follow so fast that I can’t help but shake my head. “You are a very bad girl,” I growl, stalking up her body with the box in my hand. I lift her left hand up and smirk.

“This finger needs something. I want to make love to my new fiancé with my ring on your finger.” I quickly slide it on and then my lips and tongue trail down her body as she writhes under me. I slip between her thick thighs and groan when I see how wet she is. My finger trails down between her puffy folds. “So damn pretty.”

She wriggles under me and I shush her, one hand holding her hips down as I dip my head and drink from between her lush thighs. I moan when I taste her sweetness on my tongue.

“You always taste so damn good, baby girl.” She wriggles and writhes panting. Her hand digs into my hair and she tugs painfully, making me chuckle.

“You’re not rushing me, sweetheart.” But I lick and suck harder until she’s got her head back and she’s screaming as her orgasm takes her over the edge, her back bowed painfully tight.

Then she falls to the bed, panting and whimpering softly. “I need you, Cody. Please..don’t make me wait.” I groan at her needy words, feeling my cock surge painfully.
