“Because you know I like it when you wear my clothes.”

“Oh, I do?” I challenge.

“Well, if you didn’t, you do now. You should steal one of my hoodies.”

“Are you sure it’s okay?” I ask, holding his gaze in the mirror as he steps around me and hangs the towel back in its place. There’s something intimate about wearing a man’s clothes. And even though this wouldn’t be my first time stealing Mack’s, it still makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

“Positive.” He snakes his hands around my waist and pulls my back to his front.

“But I feel bad,” I argue.

As I angle my head to the side, giving him access to my neck, he kisses beneath my ear. And despite it being the sweetest gesture and making my ovaries want to burst, it also tickles, so I squirm against him.

“Stop, stop, stop,” I beg through bouts of laughter. He keeps his grip firm around my waist and blows raspberries on my neck.

“You gonna steal my hoodie?” he demands.

“Yes! Yes, I’ll steal your hoodie!”

“Good girl.” He lifts his head, but he keeps me glued against him and kisses my cheek with a cocky smirk.

“Speaking of stealing things…” I continue. “I’m thinking of making some breakfast before we leave. Is that okay?”

“Let me do it. I have to chop some wood first, though.”

Chop wood?Seriously. Who the hell chops wood these days? Sexy mountain men, that’s who.

My gaze slides down his toned body as I shamelessly check him out. “So that’s where all the manly muscles come from.”

He flexes, wiggling his eyebrows. I playfully shove him away from me.

“Why don’t you chop the wood while I cook breakfast?” I suggest. “You know, two birds with one stone and all that jazz.”

“You sure?”

“Of course. What sounds good to you? Pancakes? Omelets? Bacon?”

“Is all of the above an option?”

I roll my eyes, turning and facing him fully. “So needy.”

“Only when it comes to you.” With another kiss on my cheek, he pulls away. Suddenly, the world spins, and I grab onto his shoulders, squeezing my eyes shut.

“Whoa,” I breathe out.

His hands grab my elbows, steadying me. “You okay?”

I nod but keep my eyes closed. “Yeah. Give me a second.”

“What’s wrong?”

“Dizzy.”

“Kate, you okay?” His tone is sharper. More concerned. More anxious.

I nod again and open my eyes. “Yeah, I’m okay.”

“You sure?” he confirms as if he doesn’t believe me.
