“And I’ll see to that. Summer’s going to be living here,” Lucan chimes in from somewhere above my head. “She’s a part of this family now. Averybig part.”
I look over to see Sylvia beaming at us and I can only imagine the picture we make. We look like a – family.
That night, as I lie on Lucan’s chest, I run my fingers up and down his arm.
“Things with Sylvia went better than I thought. I thought she would have frowned on a set up like this. I mean, it’s not every day a man moves his girlfriend into his bedroom with his nanny and child down the hall.”
“I told you they couldn’t care less. You’re here and that’s all that matters. And Sylvia looks like she will be at least civil with me again. She damn near ripped me a new one when I told her I’d fired you and why.” He laughs and shakes his head. “We’re all happy you’re here, Summer. And if no one else was, I would still be happy you’re here. Welcome home, baby.”
I reach down and stroke him and he groans.
“You’re insatiable,” he whispers against my lips as he rolls us over.
“You know us pregnant women can’t get enough.” I smile and spread my legs, sighing blissfully as he finds his mark.
“If you have it your way, we’ll be making love until this baby pops out.”

The next few weeks are spent essentially turning my life around.
