Turning, she took him in.

Was it possible that he looked even hotter than before?

Wearing jeans and a white T-shirt along with a leather jacket, he had this badass vibe pouring out of him. It was enough to make her shiver with a mix of arousal and fear.

Suddenly, Cash moved, shoving her behind him as he faced off against the guy approaching. “Stay the fuck back.”

She froze.

That didn’t even sound like her baby brother.

The guy who’d just shoved her behind his back . . . to protect her?

That wasn’t her brother.

She’d always been the one to look out for him. At least until he’d gotten mixed up with that gang and decided he didn’t want to know her.

“What the fuck do you think you’re doing?” Hack snapped angrily. “Get away from her. Greer, come here.”

She tried to move to him, hoping she might be able to diffuse the heated situation, but Cash held an arm out, stopping her.

“Who are you? Greer, you know this guy?” Cash spat out as he shoved her back, making her hiss as he knocked her sore arm.

“Watch it!” Hack said. “You just fucking hurt her. Big mistake, dickhead.”

“Why do you care? Who. Are. You.”

“Cash, this is Hack,” she said hastily. “He’s a friend of Aidan’s. I met him a few days ago.”

And she couldn’t stop dreaming about him, thinking about him. . . urgh, she had it bad.

“Hack? The surgeon guy who belongs to that gang Aidan is part of?” Cash asked.

“It’s a motorcycle club. And yeah, I’m a friend of Sav’s. Greer, I got a call from you. When you weren’t on the line, I decided to come over. Luckily, I wasn’t far away.”

Oh, shit.

“Sorry. I thought there was an intruder in the house and I must have hit your name when I was trying to call someone for help.”

Oops.

“I want you to come here. Now.” Hack sounded dark. Deadly. Like he was seconds away from completely losing his mind.

Crap. She felt like such an idiot now for running away from Cash and accidentally calling Hack.

The two guys stood staring at one another, and she knew she had to do something before the neighbors really did call the cops.

She moved away from Cash, stepping into the light.

“Greer,” Cash snapped, reaching for her. “I didn’t say you could move, get back.”

He grabbed her sore wrist and pulled her back. She let out a pained cry. The world swimming around her as nausea bubbled in her stomach.

“Greer? What’s wrong?” Hack said urgently. “Fuck! I don’t care who you are. If you don’t stop hurting her, I’m going to end you.”

Cash let go of her, eyeing her. “Greer?”

“Get out of my way,” Hack demanded.
