Jesus, was she now making sexual innuendos in her head? What was wrong with her?

“You can dictate them into your phone. Or use your other hand.”

Rats.

“Do you have an answer for everything?” she asked.

“Well. I am the Daddy. So yes.”

She moved around on his lap as he grabbed a sandwich. “It’s gone cold. I’ll make some more.”

“Don’t. I like them cold.”

“Are you sure, Ladybug? I don’t mind making fresh ones for my baby girl.”

She blushed as he set her down on the chair.

Could this really work out?

Well, she guessed the only way to find out was to try. Even if the trying part was kind of terrifying.

“Finished.” She stared down at the list of limits. She’d managed to write them out with her left hand. They were a bit messy but legible.

Crap. There was a lot, though. Did she really need all of these?

They hadn’t gotten around to talking about her limits yesterday, because the nap he’d put her down for had ended up in her sleeping most of the night away.

She’d woken up to find him sitting in a chair beside her bed. So she must have had a few nightmares. She felt guilty about that. He needed his sleep.

He’d sleep better at his place.

“Show me.”

She handed over the pad to him. He handed one back to her.

“Your rules.”

She looked over the rules. Whoa. Okay, there were a lot of these as well.

Greer’s Rules:

No lying.

Must respect herself and Daddy, which includes not calling herself names.

No keeping anything to herself that is upsetting her.

No saying sorry for things that aren’t her fault.

Must tell Daddy when she is going somewhere. Text when she gets there and when she’s on her way home. Then text again when she is home.

“That’sa lot of texts you’re going to get,” she commented.

“I can handle it. I’m very good at multi-tasking.”

Hmm. She bet.
