“Until we find this asshole. I’m going to get a better security system set up at the house and Ink will have Brody investigate those guys you were talking to on that kink site.”
“I’m sure it wasn’t one of those guys.”
He shot her a look.
Right. Okay. Seemed this was happening.
“Luckily, I have tomorrow off so we should be able to get the security system in. I still don’t know if I like leaving you here on your own, though.”
“I really think I’ll be fine.”
“Maybe you could go to Callahan Security during the day.”
“Where?”
“Ink’s business. It’s secure. Probably better than going to work with Aidan once he’s back.”
“Okay, whoa. I’ve had this guy in my life, probably for years. He’s never done anything to harm me. And I get what you’re saying about him flipping and becoming dangerous, but we don’t know that. I don’t think we should overreact.”
“And I think there is no such thing as overreacting when it comes to your safety.”
Okay.
Well, that did make her feel all gooey inside. So she guessed she could forgive his overprotectiveness.
“All right, I’ll agree to stay in the house unless I have someone with me. But I’m not going to work with Aidan.”
“No, that’s why I suggested Ink’s place.”
“Hack,” she grumbled.
“Who is in charge?” he asked in a low, dark voice.
A shiver ran up her spine. But not one of fear. Nope, that would probably be a normal reaction.
But it had already been well established that she wasn’t normal.
“You are, Daddy.”
“So you’re going to do whatever I tell you, aren’t you, Little girl?”
“Yes, Daddy.”
“That’s my good girl.” He ran a finger down her cheek. “Now, we’re going to take care of your punishment. You’re going to go into the bathroom and use the potty. Then get dressed in your onesie. Do not brush your teeth. Call out to me when you are ready.”
That was weird. But okay. She could follow those orders.
After she was changed, she called out to him.
He walked in and then picked her up, setting her on the counter before grabbing her toothbrush, and putting some toothpaste on it.
Wait.
Was he going to use her toothbrush? Was that part of her punishment?
If so . . . that was kind of gross.
Turning to her, he raised the toothbrush to her mouth. “Open wide.”
