Sighing, I drop my head to my chest. “I am never drinking again. I make bad decisions when I drink.”

“So, what happened?” Thalia asks, bringing my attention back to her.

I cannot and will not lie to my sister, so I hit her with the truth. “We slept together. The sex was amazing. It always is with Bishop.”

“But?” she asks.

“But it’s too complicated. I know he said the engagement is not real, but it still doesn’t change the fact there is an engagement.” I groan. “It shouldn’t have happened. And he didn’t use protection. Can you believe him? I asked him to, and he said he would pull out, but did he? Oh, no, he didn’t.” I am waving my arms around now, my voice growing higher.

Thalia holds her hand up to stop me. “Too much information, sister.”

I chuckle. No matter how much sex my sister has, she still blushes at the mention of it. I jerk my head to my door. “I better get showered and changed. We are taking Baron out before lunch.” I cringe. “Plus, I need to scrub Bishop off me.”

Thalia laughs. “Go do you. I am going to grab some coffee. Remember, I leave for Florida the day after tomorrow, and I want to spend time with you and my nephew before I go,” she sing-songs as she sashays down the hall. Shaking my head, I spin and carry on to my room to get ready.

“Did we have to bring Edward?” Bishop glares at said person while we sit drinking coffee in a small diner. After visiting the Aquarium, we decided to stop for a quick drink and snack before we head back to lunch with my family.

Looking up from feeding my son an organic maize carrot stick, I look to where Edward stands, watching us, but far enough away so we have privacy, and then back to Bishop. “Yes, we did. You know what my father is like when it comes to our security. You were oncemybodyguard. Remember?”

He eyes me and smirks. “Oh, I remember.” His voice turns gravelly, making my stomach tighten. “I remember how you would constantly hit on me. How you would never give up until I finally gave in and let you have mydick.” He leans into me, whispering the last word, not that Baron understands the meaning of it.

“Stop it.”

Bishop chuckles. “Ah, the memories. I cannot wait to recreate some of our sex life. Damn.” He licks his full bottom lip as his eyes turn hooded. My cheeks heat at his words, but instead of biting, I ignore him and focus on feeding our son. “Princess, since when did you get embarrassed about S-E-X?” he spells out the word.

“Since our son is around to listen to this,” I snap.

Bishop’s eyes go from me, to Baron, then back to me. “He doesn’t understand.” He frowns “Does he?”

I shake my head, a smile curving my lips at the worry in his tone. “No, he doesn’t. But still, I am not having this conversation here.”

Sighing, he leans forward and grabs a carrot stick from the bag. “I want you both to stay with me tonight. At the hotel.”

My head snaps up at the change in conversation. “Why would you want that when we have a perfectly good home a couple of blocks away?” I ask, shivering as the wind whips up and hits my face.

Bishop shrugs. “I have never had Baron overnight, and I want to. I want to be with you and our son. Alone. I can’t exactly stay at the penthouse with your family around, especially when I plan on... doing things to you.” He winks. “Wouldn’t want your parents hearing you screaming my name.”

“You are disgusting. I already told you it won’t happen again,” I retort, even if I don’t believe it myself.

“Oh, it will. Now anyway, back to you both staying with me tonight. Do you have a travel crib for Baron, or should I go and buy one?” he asks.

“You are being very presumptuous. I haven’t agreed to anything yet.”

He rolls his eyes in exasperation. “Look, not everything has to be a fight, princess. Just give me this. I want to spend a proper night with my family. Is that too much to ask?”

I sigh, giving in. He isn’t asking too much. I can do this for Baron. “Okay. Just tonight and yes, I do have a travel crib.” I point at him. “No funny business, though.”

“I can’t promise that. But what I can promise is that you will enjoy every bit of the ‘funny business’ very much. You always do.”

“Jesus, your ego really knows no bounds.” I shake my head with another shiver.

Bishop pushes out of his chair. “Come on. Let’s get you back. You look cold.” My heart softens at the concern in his voice and on his face.

Popping Baron’s snack in my diaper bag, I jump up and look at Edward, who is already striding toward us. “Ready to go?”

He rubs his hands together. “Yes. I was starting to get cold.”
