Ilet myself drift without thinking as my breathing slowed, Leo’s purr a steady rumble beneath my ear. My muscles felt like wet noodles, and I wasn’t sure I could move even if Leo’s knot receded. His fingers stroking along my scalp felt wonderful, and I almost wished I could stay like this until morning.

A sigh left me as that thought brought reality back into focus.

I couldn’t stay, because if I wasn’t home when Michael woke, he’d freak out.

It was a few more minutes before Leo’s knot finally deflated enough for our fluids to start leaking out around him, and a shift of my hips had his length slipping from me. The bloating I’d felt was relieved as a gush followed, drenching Leo and the sheets beneath us.

I knew it was normal, but my nose still wrinkled at the mess.

“I supposed I should get you cleaned up.”

I rolled my head to look up at him, but the headboard blocked the light coming in the window, leaving his face in shadow. Trying to push myself up, I let out a groan as my muscles protested being forced to move again so soon.

“You don’t have to. I can just jump in the shower for a minute, and then I won’t be in your way anymore.”

I tried again to lift myself from Leo’s warmth, but he moved his arms around me, holding me to his chest as he sat up and scooted off the bed. I squeaked when he stood, arms tightening around his neck despite knowing he wouldn’t drop me.

He smirked as he glanced down, striding toward his bathroom as more fluid oozed from my core and smeared the abs rubbing again my folds as he walked.

“You couldn’t be in my way if you tried, and I enjoy taking care of you. If I got you dirty, it’s my responsibility to clean you up.”

His words sparked a glow in my chest no matter how much I tried to ignore it. Leo was so smooth he made it seem like he really meant what he said, but I had to hold onto the conviction that this could only last so long.

I remained silent as he set me on my feet at the shower door, opening and turning it on before pulling me in with him. Memories of the last time I’d been in the extravagant space flooded me, making the sore muscles of my core clench despite the orgasms I’d already experienced.

He made me insatiable.

Leo looked at me as if he knew exactly what I was thinking, his gaze hot as it trailed down my body. A quick glance showed he was still half-hard, and I bit my bottom lip to distract myself. I had chores to tend to tomorrow before I went to the diner, and I needed to get home to sleep.

He took hold of my shoulders and spun us around, walking me backward until the water drenched my hair. Pulling me forward again, he reached for the shampoo, the puddle he poured into his hand making me huff and shake my head at the waste.

His lips twitched as he began to massage my scalp, and I let out a sigh as my muscles melted. As awkward as it was to let him do everything, it felt amazing to be pampered and have someone else deal with my mass of hair. I was always so busy and broke I couldn’t remember the last time I’d gotten it cut, and it reached my waist at this point.

My eyes popped open as it hit me that I didn’t have to keep dealing with it.

“Oh, I can finally get a haircut!”

Leo’s brow arched before he let out a chuckle as he tipped my head back so he could rinse the suds away.

“Yes, and I can take you shopping too. Don’t want you worrying about me ripping your clothes off you.”

I frowned up at the ceiling. I could admit that most of my clothes were old and more about comfort than style, but no matter the arrangement we had, I didn’t want Leo thinking I was using him.

“You don’t need to do that.”

He took my chin between his fingers and pulled my head down until I met his eyes.

“You were unhappy at the club when you came in jeans and a T-shirt and told me tonight you’d need to go home and change before coming to see me. While I don’t care what you wear, I want you to feel comfortable at the club since that’s where we’ll be spending a lot of time, and if you need new clothes to help, then you’ll get new clothes.”

It was disconcerting to realize he paid enough attention to notice my discomfort, but he was right. I didn’t have anything to wear that wouldn’t make me stand out compared to the other women there, and I’d feel better with something that helped me blend in.

I dropped my gaze to the side, unwilling to let the swirl of emotions playing through me show.

“I can go buy something.”

I didn’t like the idea of wasting money on frivolous things, especially since anything that was suitable for the club wasn’t likely to be something I could wear at the office, or around the house. Once I had no reason to keep going to the club, the clothes would be useless, but maybe I could find something at the thrift store...
