So why the hell had she just left?

“Didn’t she say anything before leaving?” Daniel asked.

“No! And look!” Harper shoved her phone in Daniel’s face.

He peered at the screen and then sent Logan a dark look.

What the hell was going on?

Crap.

Logan frowned and pulled out his phone.

“Harper, say goodbye to Addy and Kristen. Then we can work this out,” Daniel said thickly.

After giving Logan another glare, Harper glanced at the others. “Oh, you’re leaving.”

Harper hugged everyone, and Logan stood to shake hands and kiss the ladies, promising to see them all again soon.

“Thanksgiving,” Fletcher said. “Bring Aidan and Amelia.”

“You guys should get to know Aunty Samantha’s boys, Blake and Jacob. I know they’re a little younger, but they’re good kids,” Logan said.

They weren’t that much younger than Hunter and Jackson, in hindsight.

Finding out his cousins had a half-brother had been shocking but unsurprising. Jackson was a great young man, obviously smart and successful.

“Everyone’s invited,” Fletcher said. “The reason I bought this house is so we could have the whole family here.”

Olivia rubbed her tummy and laid a hand on his shoulder. “Get in the pool with your daughter. I’ll walk these guys out.”

Sienna started up her complaining again, and their voices began to fade as everyone walked through the house. Logan heard the chopper start up out front.

Thump, thump, thump.

Then his attention returned to Emma, who had fucking left. Without one word to him. His screen was completely empty of messages.

Harper sat down next to her husband and stared at him. “Speak.”

He pressed his lips together.

What was there to say?

Logan had been fucking Emma. They’d agreed to continue fucking. Now she was gone.

He had no idea why.

Logan began to shrug.

“Fuck. I think I know what’s happened,” Daniel said, rubbing his forehead. “Jesus.”
