“I’m pregnant,” I blurt out.
Jax must put two and two together first because a second later he’s attacking Gabriel. He shoves him up against the wall as his fists start flying.
“Oh God,” I cry out.
Lucky wraps me in his arms as Dante strides toward Jax, pulling him off of Gabe and throwing a punch that collides with Gabriel’s jaw.
Zeke and Cain stand back laughing. “Stop letting them win, boss. There’s no fun in that,” Cain cackles, making me furious.
“Anyone bring popcorn,” Zeke chimes in.
“Fuck off,” Gabe yells back at them. They’re right, he’s not putting up an ounce of fight as he takes each hit Dante and Jax deliver.
“It’s not funny. Stop this,” I shout, trying to break free of Lucky’s hold on me.
“It’s kinda funny,” Zeke snarks, hopping up on the counter to watch the show.
My eyes land on Royal who stares at me with such intensity I wanna die. “Is the baby his?” he asks, the crease on his forehead telling me he doesn’t know.Well, neither do I!
“I don’t know,” I shout, and everyone turns to look at me. Dante shoves Gabe to the ground as Jax lands one more punch before walking away.
Gabe leans up on his elbow wiping the blood from his mouth. His brows rise as he glances my way.
“Oh, this should be fun,” Zeke chuckles, rubbing his hands together.
My body goes limp in Lucky’s arms, but he holds me steady. “I don’t know who the dad is. It could be his,” I glance at Royal. “It could be yours or Lucky’s. Fuck, I don’t know.”
Royal’s head draws back like he’s been punched. “And you decided to tellhimbefore me!” he yells.
“This is getting good,” Cain says, and I flip him off.
“When Gabe kidnapped me, he obviously didn’t stop to take my birth control along the way, and then I was shot.” I throw my hands up in defeat. “So between point A and B, I wound up pregnant.” My gaze bounces from each of them to see their reactions.
Royal stands with his mouth agape and his brows turned in. Dante crouches down with his head in his hands.
But Jax, he’s furious. He strides over to Lucky and hits him in the jaw as Lucky releases me. “You fucking knew and you said nothing!” Jax fumes, grabbing Lucky by the collar.
I tug on Jax’s arm to get him to release Lucky. “It’s not his fault. I begged him not to say anything until I was ready,” I say honestly. “Please, Jax. Be mad at me.”
Jax releases Lucky and steps back. “I need air,” he mumbles, heading to the back door.
Chapter sixteen
Royal
Angel startles as Jax slams the door behind him. My eyes move from her to Cain, who tries to help Gabriel to his feet, but he slaps his hand away. “Fuck off,” he spits, and Cain laughs as he throws his arms up and backs away.
“Shouldn’t have let them do you like that, boss,” Zeke chuckles.
Gabe growls, pushing himself up. “Rather it be me than her,” he nods toward Angel. Oh, so now he thinks he’s the hero. Great. “They needed to let out some of that pent-up rage. Ain’t that right, boy?” he says to Dante, who flips him off in response.
The two idiots sitting front row to our drama start cackling like little girls.
“Why are you two still here?” Dante fumes.
My vision blurs, and all I see is red.
“How long have you known, Luck?” I seethe.
