He shrugs, pushing Angel out of the way. “Since the hospital.”

My fist clenches so hard it’s going numb, and then without another thought, I tackle him to the ground.

Angel screams and tries to run toward us, but Gabriel wraps her up in his arms. “Nu-uh, little monster. Let the boys work their shit out,” he says.

My fists fly at Lucky as he scrambles to protect himself. He struggles to cover his face, but I toss his arms out of the way.

I’m vaguely aware of Dante and Gabriel yelling at one another, but that’s not my focus right now.

My focus is fucking up my best friend for being a little bitch and keeping secrets from me.

“Fight back, asshole.”Fucking coward. He’s just going to sit here and let me pound on him like he’s some kind of martyr. He’s not.

He’s a lying.Punch.Sac.Punch.Of shit.

“I’m not going to fight you, Royal,” he grunts as I slam my fist into his gut.

So much for no more lies.

My arm rears back to hit him again when he yells out, “You would’ve done the same.” I pause, looking down on him, then clock him one more time for good measure.

I’m so tired of the lies and the secrets plaguing us.

My dad’s lies.

Dante’s lies.

Angel’s lies.

It’s an endless fucking cycle, and I’m through with all of it.

Maybe I would’ve kept her secrets, but I would’ve found a way for her to tell us. It fucking stings finding out like this. They’ve had weeks to say something and neither of them did.

Jax’s voice booms through the air, “Enough!” I’m not sure when he came back in, but he stomps over to Angel and takes her hand, leading her to the table. Then he turns back to Zeke and Cain. “Seriously, fuck off.”

They throw their hands up and walk toward the door. “We’ll be outside if you need us, Boss.” They mumble something about loving other people’s drama as they head outside.

“Everyone needs to calm the fuck down. This isn’t good for Angel. We’re going to sit down and figure this shit out. Then we’re going to find Brenda,” Jax yells as Angel takes the seat he’s pulled out for her.

Dante walks over, holding out his hand for Lucky. The moment Lucky takes it, Dante slams his fist against his jaw, letting him drop back to the ground. “Now it’s over,” Dante says, stalking away. He pulls out a chair and drops into it, crossing his arms over his chest.

Lucky turns his head to the side, spitting out blood. “I deserved that.” He walks over to the table and sits next to Dante. Gabriel is leaning against the wall, watching us fall apart at the seams.

My heart races as I look over Angel. She’s pregnant.Jax stands near her protectively, waiting for me to join them.

We’re going to have a baby. Shit, I don’t think any of us were prepared for this, especially Angel.

“Somehow you just keep snaking your way back in, don’t you?” I hiss, passing Gabriel to take a seat.

He eyes me with a cocky smirk. “Who said I ever left?” he says with a smirk that I instantly want to wipe off his stupid face. The bruising on his jaw is already showing, and that brings me a tad bit of pleasure.

“I’m pissed you didn’t tell me when you found out,” I say to Angel then turn to Lucky. “And I don’t even know what to say. I’m disappointed. The lies have to stop or this will never work.”

Everyone around the table nods silently.

Angel sighs. “I’m sorry. I was scared.” She twiddles her hands in her lap. “I didn’t know what would happen when you found out that it might be Gabe’s.” Gabriel not so subtly coughs with a smirk on his face.

“So one of you is the father. Where does that leave the rest of us?” Dante asks with a frown.
