“Good, sounds like everything is running how it should.” I reply, proud of the way everyone is handling the new dynamics, “We’ve finished with our job for Mona, so we’re going to be taking a few days off now. My phone will be on, and you will be able to contact me if you need to for anything!”
“Really? It’s been dealt with that quickly?”
“Yeah, it turned out to be kind of a misunderstanding, and then he kidnapped Mona’s daughter and just confessed to everything. It’s a long story, but the guys and I are damn glad it was easy, and we get a few days off now. We also have the Romanos as allies again, which is a strong position to be in.”
“You’re right, it is. Job well done then.” He replies, and I can hear the smile in his voice as he adds, “Because I know you’re going to be worrying. I promise that I will contact you if anything happens that we can’t handle.”
I chuckle quietly in response, “You know, considering you haven’t known me for that long, you seem to know me quite well.”
He laughs, “I pay attention. Now, go and enjoy some time with your men.”
“I plan to. Thanks, Sawyer. Say hello to the guys and Harley for me.”
“Will do,” he grins and then hangs up.
Just as I hang up, Mal walks into the room with a soda and hands it to me, “How’s Sawyer? Everything okay with the Ravens?”
“Yeah, everything seems good. He said he can handle it all but promised to contact me if anything happened.”
Mal chuckles, “Good. No one can decide what to do since we haven’t had time off for fucking ages.”
“Well, since we haven’t been here for a while, I have to do some boring stuff like washing. I’m running out of underwear,” I tell him, “and I need an update on what’s happening with the sale of the business too.”
“Yeah, that’s probably a good idea,” Mal replies, not looking too pleased about it, as he adds, as the others join us, “I haven’t actually finished unpacking from when we grabbed stuff from our place.”
“I think I might actually make something for dinner. Gerald was right this morning,” Mason adds.
“You can cook?” I ask.
“Only a couple of meals, but they’re tasty,” he replies with a smile.
“How about we all go and do the things we’ve been putting off and then meet back in the kitchen for dinner later on?” Rome suggests.
“Sounds good to me,” I agree, and everyone else does as well, as we all once again split up.
Chapter Sixteen
Ihave to admit that I have an ulterior motive for wanting some time to myself, I mean, I am running out of underwear, and I am getting pretty close to having to go commando, so washing is definitely something I need to do, but as soon as the guys said that they’ve never really had birthdays I had an idea and because I have no idea when we’re going to have any substantial time off again I’m going to have to do it now.
Sitting on my bed, I pull my laptop over to me and start putting my plan into place. I’m going to give them a joint birthday—presents, decorations, balloons, and obviously most importantly cake. The only issue I can see with my plan is how I’m going to decorate without them realising what I’m doing. I think I will probably just end up telling them to stay out of the front room and shutting them out entirely, and then I’ll have to do it as quickly as possible because I have a feeling that at least one of them is going to try and peek or figure out what I’m doing.
I could do the party just for Rip since it was his birthday the most recently, but I feel like because they’ve never had one before, I’d like to do it for all of them, and then after this one, their birthdays can be individual ones. I try to buy it all as quickly as possible and make sure I get the delivery as soon as possible as well because I’m going to have a small window to get this all done and set up. When I’m done, I’m incredibly happy with my purchases, and I can’t wait to set it all up for them.

The rest of the evening was spent doing laundry and then eating an amazing meal made by Mason, and I have to admit that I was skeptical about how edible it was going to be when he first said he was making dinner, and I was incredibly happy to be proven wrong. After which, I spent some naked time with Mason, which was fucking amazing, and after the third time of making me writhe with pleasure and sending me hurtling into orgasms, we both fell asleep happily satiated and exhausted.
We all had a lie-in this morning, and it was really nice not to have to do anything, we had nowhere we needed to be, and it was great. We follow no routine at all over the next couple of days while I impatiently wait for my stuff to come for their surprise. We catch up on some much-needed rest and also boring chores around the house. Ace and Rip spent a while tinkering with their cars, although I had no idea what they were doing even though they explained it to me.
Mason and I did a bit more exploring of the rooms and found some interesting things, although nothing quite as interesting as the hidden office. I also spent a lot of naked time with my men, and we spent all afternoon yesterday in my room watching movies; it has been incredible, but I’m getting impatient now for the guy's stuff to come. Thankfully, other than keeping me updated on everyone’s jobs, Sawyer has had absolutely no issues, and it’s filled me with even more confidence for when we’re off or doing jobs for D I know for sure now that they can handle it and that they’ll call me if they need me and just to keep me updated.
It's our fourth day of rest and relaxation, and I’m sitting in the front room watching the guys play on the game console, well I say watching the guys on the game console, but what I’m really doing is reading; I can’t remember the last time that I actually had time to read which has sucked but also means I’ve got a lot to catch up which should keep me busy for a while.
“Miss Jynx?” Gerald announces as he steps into the room and looks around happily at us all relaxing.
“One second, let me just finish this sentence,” I reply and then look back at him, “is everything okay?”
His smile is full of amusement as he replies, “Everything is fine, but I just thought you would like to know that some packages have just arrived.”
