I can’t wait to see what the future brings us.

Epilogue

Ten Years Later

“Let’s go, boys! We’re going to be late,” I shout, and finally hear my three boys, PJ, Ezra, and Milo, running down the hall toward the front door. Our little Rebekah has her first dance recital tonight, and she wanted all of her brothers there to cheer her on. She’s five. PJ is nine, Ezra is eight, and Milo is seven. It took a while to get pregnant again, and then there’s been nothing for five years until today. I found out I’m pregnant again and haven’t told Paul yet. He’s been at work all day.

It’s crazy how much I miss him when he’s not near me. The town has grown over the years, and he’s up to five deputies now. Crime is a little more active now, but still, no murders, so that’s something.

“I’m ready!” Beck shouts from the front door.

“Coming,” I say as I walk toward the kids. We leave the house, pile into my minivan, and head into town. The little dance studio has only been open for a year, but it is nice to have one in town. Going to Charleston was a pain in the butt.

“Break a leg, baby girl,” I say, kissing her on the cheek; she runs ahead of us to get backstage. PJ carries her after-performance flowers as we walk to our seats. Paul is already there, saving us some. My sisters and their families are here as well. Several of us have girls in the dance troupe. The family takes most of one-half of the room. We just keep growing and growing. It’s no wonder Lloyd had us expand into Quinntown.

“Hello, wife,” Paul says as I sit down next to him. The boys are sitting in front of us with some of their cousins.

“Hello, husband. How was work?”

“It was good. How about you?” The diner is still doing amazing. We’ve even been featured on a popular show where the host travels the country in search of off-the-beaten-path food sources.

“It was good. I got some news today.”

“You’re pregnant?” he asks, quirking an eyebrow at me.

“How did you know?”

“After four babies, I can tell, but the early morning vomiting is the most telling thing,” he says, chuckling.

“Ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together for Miss Brighton’s Bumble Bees,” the announcer says as the lights dim, and music begins. I take his hand as the show begins. I tear up as Beck takes the stage with her little wings on.

Later that night, after all the kids are sound asleep, I crawl into bed naked, next to Paul, who is reading a book. As soon as I stroke his arm, he tosses the book away. I giggle as he moves his body over mine, parting my thighs with his knees. He kisses me for a long time before he slides his cock into me. Nothing has ever felt so good. Nothing.

“Thank you,” he says, kissing me.

“For what,” I moan after he moves his lips to my neck.

“For giving me everything I’ve ever wanted. I love you so much.”

“I love you too,” I tell him as he begins to move. Faster and faster, then slower and slower. He brings me to the edge and pulls back. I lose track of how long he tortures me, but when we finally come, I see stars.

This is everything I’ve ever wanted too. I’ll be forever thankful that I gave up the only life I ever knew for this one. The one I was meant to have.
