Her eyes were nearly black with desire, she reared up, pulled him closer while her long legs wrapped around him. As he sank into her, her velvet heat closed around him, and he let go of the reins.

His body wasslick, his breath labored. She tried to focus on him, but a red haze moved in front of her, blurring her vision. Her other senses took over focusing on his scent surrounding her, his rippling muscles beneath her fingers, his ragged breathing in her ear. Riding the wave of pleasure together, their limbs became so entwined, she wasn’t sure where she ended and he began.

Shouting out her name, he pushed into her one final time before they crested together.

The cold athis back woke Aiden up. For a moment, he panicked. Vivian… A warm body was asleep, spooning against him. He relaxed, pulling her closer. Vivian was here, with him. It was nearly two, his watch told him. They’d fallen asleep despite the cold.

“Hey you,” he murmured and kissed her face.

She opened her eyes, stared at him. A slow smile lifted the corners of her mouth, and she touched his face. “You’re really here.”

“Yeah, I am. I’ve just made love to my fiancée.”

“She’s very happy about it,” she murmured, tracing his jaw with her fingers. “Annie is probably wondering where we are.”

“How cold are you?” he asked, slipping his leg between hers.

Her eyes widened. “Again?”

“When I’m with you? Always.” He grinned and bent down to kiss her.

“Then I’m not cold. At all.”

It was nearlythree before they stopped in front of Annie’s house. Janice’s car was also parked in front of the house.

“Oh, great. Aunt Janice is here; I’m so glad. I was going to go and pick her up,” Aiden said. “You won’t mind?”

“Of course not. Remember, she was our friend long before I knew you.”

Aiden nodded slowly. “That’s right. You know, she used to try and set up dates for the three of us. I can’t help wondering if she didn’t invite me here specifically to meet you. She mentioned the word plan a few times when referring to you and me.”

“But how…” Vivian began, but the front door burst open, and Annie and Janice rushed out.

Aiden pressed her fingers. “Let’s do this. The sooner we get this over with, the sooner I get to have you to myself.”

His words and heated glance made her dopamine levels go all giddy again, but before she could say anything, her car door flew open.

“The ring, the ring!” Annie cried, grabbing Vivian’s hand. “Oh, look, Janice. It’s perfect.” Her eyes found Aiden. “It’s perfect,” she sniffled.

Laughing, Vivian got out of the car and hugged her sister.

Tears were streaming down Annie’s face. “I’m so happy for you!”

“Why are you crying?” Mitch asked as he also approached them.

“Because she’s happy,” Aiden said as he was closing the door of the car.

“See?” Annie sniffed. “He knows.”

“Full confession?” Aiden smiled. “I only heard about I’m-so-happy-that’s-why-I’m-crying last night.”

Annie grabbed both Vivian and Aiden by the arm. “Come on in. If it were up to Mitch, there’d be no bubbly left, but fortunately, I’ve hidden it. I’ll heat your food. It’s probably not so nice anymore, but…”
